"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas penerapan arsitektur informasi pada perpustakaan digital iJakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara terhadap informan. Analisis berdasarkan empat komponen utama dalam arsitektur informasi yaitu sistem organisasi, sistem pelabelan, sistem navigasi, dan sistem pencarian. Observasi dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu observasi langsung ke dalam perpustakaan digital dan observasi pengguna yang dimana diminta untuk menggunakan perpustakaan digital iJakarta. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa perpustakaan digital iJakarta belum sepenuhnya menerapkan semua komponen arsitektur informasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disarankan kepada pengelola perpustakaan digital iJakarta untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan arsitektur informasi sehingga memberikan kemudahan kepada pengguna.

ABSTRACTThis paper discusses application of information architecture in iJakarta digital library. This paper using qualitative approach, observation and interview for data collection. This analysis based on four main components of information architecture: organization system, labelling system, navigation system, and search system. Observation is done by two ways: direct observation into digital library and users observation who asked to use iJakarta digital library. The result indicate that iJakarta digital library hasn?t been fully implement all components of information architecture. Based on these results, is advisable to business iJakarta digital library to develop and improve the information architecture so facilitaties to users."

"New technologies will underpin the future generation of library catalogues. To facilitate their role providing information, serving users, and fulfilling their mission as cultural heritage and memory institutions, libraries must take a technological leap, their standards and services must be transformed to those of the semantic web. Bibliographic information organization in the semantic web explores the technologies that may power future library catalogues, and argues the necessity of such a leap. The text introduces international bibliographic standards and models, and fundamental concepts in their representation in the context of the semantic web. Subsequent chapters cover bibliographic information organization, linked open data, methodologies for publishing library metadata, discussion of the wider environment (museum, archival and publishing communities) and users, followed by a conclusion."
