"[ ABSTRAK
Makalah ini membahas Asosiasi Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia sebagai bukti adanya
penyebaran senam Tai Chi di Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini akan dipaparkan
bagaimana Asosiasi Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia mempengaruhi eksistensi Tai Chi
di Indonesia hingga saat ini. Di samping itu, penelitian ini juga memaparkan kontribusi-
kontribusi yang diberikan oleh Asosiasi Dongyue Taijiquan agar eksistensi Tai
Chi di Indonesia tetap terjaga, serta memaparkan pandangan dan minat masyarakat
Jakarta terhadap Tai Chi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh-pengaruh
yang diberikan oleh Asosiasi Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia pada penyebaran
Tai Chi di Indonesia dan juga menjelaskan perkembangan Tai Chi di Indonesia. Selain
itu, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan ketertarikan pembaca untuk
mengenal senam ini. Hingga kini, berkat kontribusi yang diberikan oleh Asosiasi
Dongyue Taijiquan, Tai Chi masih bertahan di Indonesia, keberadaannya semakin
meluas di berbagai daerah di Indonesia terutama di Jakarta.
ABSTRACT This paper discusses how Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia Association as the evidence
of Tai Chi dispersion in Indonesia. This research is going to unveil how Dongyue Taijiquan
Indonesia Association has been influencing the existence of Tai Chi in Indonesia.
Aside from that, this research also exposes the contributions attributed by
Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia Association to maintain the existence of Tai Chi in Indonesia;
and explains the views and interests of Jakarta?s citizens to Tai Chi. This research
aims to explain the influences given by Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia Association
to the dispersion of Tai Chi in Indonesia, and also to explain Tai Chi?s development
in Indonesia. Other than that, this paper is highly hoped to spark the readers interest to get accquainted to this calisthenics. Up until today, due to the contributions
attributed by Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia Association, Tai Chi still survives in Indonesia.
Its existence still expands to various cities in Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta., This paper discusses how Dongyue Taijiquan Indonesia Association as the evidence

Fenomena budaya internet dalam masyarakat modern Korea : cyworld dan lineage = The phenomenon of internet culture in Korean modern society cyworld and lineage
"Kemajuan teknologi secara tidak langsung membawa pengaruh besar terhadap perubahan kebudayaan yang ada di dalam suatu masyarakat. Internet sebagai salah satu hasil kemajuan teknologi informasi juga telah mempengaruhi pola kehidupan suatu masyarakat. Demikian pula dengan Korea, keberadaan internet telah memicu fenomena budaya internet di dalam masyarakat Korea, antara lain Cyworld dan Lineage yang merupakan produk internet hasil kemajuan teknologi Korea Selatan. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis budaya Cyworld dan Lineage dalam masyarakat modern Korea. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Cyworld dan Lineage telah menjadi budaya unik bagi masyarakat modern Korea. Hal ini dikarenakan Cyworld dan Lineage memiliki nilai-nilai tradisional Korea yang menjadikannya khas dan cenderung lebih disukai masyarakat Korea dibandingkan dengan produk internet dari negara lain.
The improvement of technology indirectly has brought great influence to the culture of a society. Internet as the result of information and technology improvement has also affected the pattern of life’s style of a society. Similarly, the existence of internet has triggered a phenomenon of internet culture in Korean society such as Cyworld and Lineage which are the products of internet as the result of technology improvement in Korea. Using descriptive qualitative method, the aim of this research was to prove the culture of Cyworld and Lineage in Korean modern society. The result of this research showed that Cyworld and Lineage has become a unique culture for South Korea modern society. This was because Cyworld and Lineage contained Korean traditional values that made them unique and tend to be loved by the Korean society than the other internet products from the other countries."

"This paper discusses the relevance of culture theories for understanding globalization and cultural change taking place in Indonesia. The issue of globalization and cultural change has recently figured prominently in various discourses in Indonesia, especially in relation to the question of how Indonesia's cultural identities should be maintained in the face of such a global process. This paper argues that the contemporary culture theory can help us understand such concepts as national culture and identity not as a static, essentialist entity, but rather as a dynamic social construction that is continuously reproduced and innovated by individual subjects. Such an argument is put forth in this paper by introducing aspects of culture theory that have not received much attention in Indonesia, i.e. practice, process, context and discourse concerning cultural construction."

Manusia dan kebudayaan bugis - makassar dan kaili di sulawesi
"In this article, the author describes the ethnography of the Bugis-Makassar, the largest inhabitants in South Sulawesi. His description includes: the historical background, their social stratification, kinship system, traditional political structure, and folklore. How the Bugis-Makassar elite groups are developed and how their social structure influenced by such development is also discussed by the author. Based on the historical evidences it is revealed that identification of the elite groups which is underlined by nobility, emerged in 15th century. In the period of Dutch colonization, composition of the elite groups changed into: pangreh-praja (government administration official) which subsequently emerged as a new elite group. In the era of independence, the position of elites were mostly occupied by the rulling class and well-educated persons. In the last section, the author explains the sirik an institution which refers to human dignity and self-respect - in relation to the conditioning of Indonesian national culture."
