"The long-awaited revision of Fundamentals of applied probability and random processes expands on the central components that made the first edition a classic. The title is based on the premise that engineers use probability as a modeling tool, and that probability can be applied to the solution of engineering problems. Engineers and students studying probability and random processes also need to analyze data, and thus need some knowledge of statistics. This book is designed to provide students with a thorough grounding in probability and stochastic processes, demonstrate their applicability to real-world problems, and introduce the basics of statistics.

After the construction of a new mass transportation, it is important to know the impact on the users of private two-wheeled vehicles. The purpose of this study is to obtain the probability of the movement to the MRT, Ability to Pay and Willingness to Pay, and the factors that influence the probability of the transfer of two-wheeled vehicle users to MRT Phase 1 (Lebak Bulus - HI Roundabout).  The survey method used a stated preference survey.
The survey was conducted only in 4 MRT stations, they are Lebak bulus station, Fatmwati station, Dukuh atas station, and Bundaran HI station. Data from the results of the study were processed using logistic regression
methods with the help of SPSS software to obtain probability of the movement.
The results of the maximum transfer probability will be obtained when the time saving option is 15 minutes with an additional cost of Rp 8.000 which is 93.15% and the smallest transfer probability is when the time saving option is 5 minutes with an additional cost of Rp 15.000 which is 0.31%. in addition it was also found that the factors that influence are the addition of costs, time savings, travel time, and income. Also obtained results from Willingness to Pay of Rp 8.250 for a 10-minute time savings, and Ability to Pay of Rp 24.500.
The conclusion that can be drawn is that by providing the right price and time savings that is a more expensive price of Rp 8.000 and a faster travel time of 15 minutes, the MRT can be the choice of transportation mode for 93.15% of two-wheeled private vehicle users.

ABSTRACT
Analysis of the Efficiency of the Use Of Blood Bags in theOperative Action At RSUP Fatmawati In 2017This study aims to analyze the use of blood vials for transfusion in theoperation at Fatmawati Hospital. This research applied quantitative with reportfrom the operating theater and hospital blood transfusion unit as the source of data 709 patiens and qualitative methode by interview surgeon and obstetrician andgynecologist, this research using a retrospective approach. Assess the efficiencyof the use of blood bags by looking at the values of Crossmatched TransfusionRate CTR , Transfusion Probability TP , Transfusion Index TI , and NonusageProbability NUP . This study shows CTR value as much as 2.6, TP as much as44 , TI 0.95, and NUP 0.59. Factors causing blood waste are higher anticipationof doctors in ordering blood, the type of surgery, haemoglobin rate, experienceand the speed of doctors in determining the needs of blood bags. Keywords Crossmatch Transfusion Rate, Transfusion Probability, TransfusionIndex, Nonusage Probability"

"Problems in probability comprises one of the most comprehensive, nearly encyclopedic, collections of problems and exercises in probability theory. Many problems contain helpful hints and other relevant comments and a portion of the material covers some important applications from optimal control and mathematical finance. Readers of diverse backgrounds-from students to researchers-will find a great deal of value in this book and can treat the work as an exercise manual, a handbook, or as a supplementary text to a course in probability theory, control, and mathematical finance. The problems and exercises in this book vary in nature and degree of difficulty. Some problems are meant to test the reader's basic understanding, others are of medium-to-high degrees of difficulty and require more creative thinking. Other problems are meant to develop additional theoretical concepts and tools or to familiarize the reader with various facts that are not necessarily covered in mainstream texts. Additional problems are related to the passage from random walk to Brownian motions and Brownian bridges. The appendix contains a summary of the main results, notation and terminology that are used throughout the book. It also contains additional material from combinatorics, potential theory and Markov chains-subjects that are not covered in the book, but are nevertheless needed for many of the exercises included here."
