"Rethinking virtue ethics offers a model of Aristotelian virtue ethics based on a deductive paradigm. This book argues that, contrary to what many contemporary thinkers are inclined to believe, Aristotelian virtue ethics is consistent with at least some action-guiding moral principles being true unconditionally, and that a justification for general moral principles can be grounded in fundamental concepts within Aristotle?s theory. An analysis of ethical propositions that hold for the most part is proposed that fits well within the deductive paradigm developed.
This unique interpretation of virtue ethics has implications for recent discussions of the virtues in social psychology, issues about how fundamental moral principles are known, questions about the justification of inalienable rights, debates about moral particularism and generalism, and discussions of moral realism and anti-realism."

"The pyramids were already millennia old when the ancient Romans began what eventually would become the modern science of archaeology. This stirring account begins in Roman times and traces the adventures of generations of intrepid men and women who uncovered tombs, deciphered hieroglyphic inscriptions, and brought to light spectacular treasures-all to give us a deeper understanding of Egypt's remarkable civilization. Illustrated with pictures of important discoveries and including facsimiles of archaeologists' maps, sketches, and journal pages, this is an irresistible introduction to the fascinating world of Egyptology."

Nowadays, many ancient manuscripts had been transliterated and translated into Indonesian. One of the provinces that did this was West Nusa Tenggara Museum. One of the manuscripts that had been transliterated and translated is the Rare Sigar manuscript. That is because it is considered that the information contained in the manuscript is still relevant today. The journal will analyze the Rare Sigar manuscript. The research data was obtained by reading the Rare Sigar script repeatedly and then noting the parts that were deemed to support the author’s main analysis. The theory that the author uses is the theory of Koentjaranngrat (1993) which states that acculturation is a form of social process in which human groups with certain cultures are faced with other cultural elements, these elements of culture is slowly to be accepted and processed without eliminating the old cultural elements. The results of the author’s research found that the Rare Sigar manuscript belongs to the type of manuscript written after knowing Islam but the belief before Islam did not disapper from the author. There is cultural acculturation that occurs, such as the source of language and belief in objects that have supernatural activities. Hopefully, this research will be useful and can be further refined."
