We study static spherically symmetric and electrically charged solutions of Eddington inspired Born Infeld EiBI theory of gravity in D dimensional spacetime in the presenceof cosmological constant. We consider both linear Maxwell as well as nonlinearelectrodynamics for the matter fields. In this particular work, the nonlinear theory wespecifically consider is the Born Infeld electrodynamics. As a warm up, we considerhigher dimensional EiBI in the vacuum. In Maxwell electrodynamics, we analyze themetric solution, electric field and Ricci scalar. Electric field in EiBI theory have a finitevalue on its self energy, but we found that these theory can only apply to D 4. In higher than 4 dimensions, the feature of electric field is same as Reissner Nordstrom, singular atthe origin. In Ricci's scalar calculation we found a surface singularity that blocks innerhorizon so the outside observer only sees r rs, where rs is radius of surface singularity. In the case of Born infeld electrodynamics, we found that metrics can not be integratedin D dimensional. In order to make these solution in D dimensional context, we focuson studying on the case equiv 4 b 2 1. Next, we look at the case of the electric field tobe analyzed. We find that this theory produce finite electric fields for any dimension. InRicci scalar calculations, we find only point singularity. "

"Nonlinear photonics and novel optical phenomena contains contributed chapters from leading experts in nonlinear optics and photonics, and provides a comprehensive survey of fundamental concepts as well as hot topics in current research on nonlinear optical waves and related novel phenomena. The book covers self-accelerating airy beams, integrated photonics based on high index doped-silica glass, linear and nonlinear spatial beam dynamics in photonic lattices and waveguide arrays, the theory of polariton solitons in semiconductor microcavities, and terahertz waves.

"This book is both a course book and a monograph. The first chapter briefly introduces the history, background and technology of EPM. In the second chapter, the concept of transport phenomena is concisely introduced and in the third chapter the essential part of magnetohydrodynamics is transcribed and readers are shown that the concept of transport phenomena does not only apply to heat, mass and momentum, but also magnetic field. The fourth chapter describes electromagnetic processing of electrically conductive materials such as electromagnetic levitation, mixing, brake, and etc., which are caused by the Lorentz force. The fifth chapter treats magnetic processing of organic and non-organic materials such as magnetic levitation, crystal orientation, structural alignment and etc., which are induced by the magnetization force. This part is a new academic field named magneto-science, which focuses on the development of super-conducting magnets."

"Central to this thesis is the characterisation and exploitation of electromagnetic properties of light in imaging and measurement systems. To this end an information theoretic approach is used to formulate a hitherto lacking, quantitative definition of polarisation resolution, and to establish fundamental precision limits in electromagnetic systems. Furthermore rigorous modelling tools are developed for propagation of arbitrary electromagnetic fields, including for example stochastic fields exhibiting properties such as partial polarisation, through high numerical aperture optics. Finally these ideas are applied to the development, characterisation and optimisation of a number of topical optical systems, polarisation imaging, multiplexed optical data storage, and single molecule measurements. The work has implications for all optical imaging systems where polarisation of light is of concern."

"Applied photometry, radiometry, and measurements of optical losses reviews and analyzes physical concepts of radiation transfer, providing quantitative foundation for the means of measurements of optical losses, which affect propagation and distribution of light waves in various media and in diverse optical systems and components. The comprehensive analysis of advanced methodologies for low-loss detection is outlined in comparison with the classic photometric and radiometric observations, having a broad range of techniques examined and summarized: from interferometric and calorimetric, resonator and polarization, phase-shift and ring-down decay, wavelength and frequency modulation to pulse separation and resonant, acousto-optic and emissive - subsequently compared to direct and balancing methods for studying free-space and polarization optics, fibers and waveguides. The material is focused on applying optical methods and procedures for evaluation of transparent, reflecting, scattering, absorbing, and aggregated objects, and for determination of power and energy parameters of radiation and color properties of light.

ABSTRAKA complete system of Maxwell equations is splitting into independent subsystems by means of a special dynamic projecting technique. The technique relies upon a direct link between field components that determine correspondent subspaces. The explicit form of links and corresponding subspace evolution equations are obtained inconditions of certain symmetry, it is illustrated by examples of spherical and quasi one dimensional waves. "

"This textbook is intended for a course in electromagnetism for upper undergraduate and graduate students. The main concepts and laws of classical macroscopic electrodynamics and initial information about generalized laws of modern electromagnetics are discussed, explaining some paradoxes of the modern theory. The reader then gets acquainted with electrodynamics methods of field analysis on the basis of wave equation solution. Emission physics are considered using an example of the Huygens-Fresnel-Kirchhoff canonic principle. The representation about strict electrodynamics task statement on the base of Maxwell equations, boundary conditions, emission conditions and the condition on the edge is given. Different classes of approximate boundary conditions are presented, which essentially simplify understanding of process physics. The canonic Fresnel functions are given and their generalization on the case of anisotropic impedance. The free waves in closed waveguides and in strip-slotted and edge-dielectric transmission lines are described.
A large number of Mathcad programs for illustration of field patterns and its properties in different guiding structures are provided. The material is organized for self-study as well as classroom use."
