"Penerapan teknologi informasi (TI) telah menjadi sebuah kebutuhan yang harus dimiliki oleh institusi perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan daya saingnya. Untuk memberikan hasil penerapan TI yang maksimum, diperlukan kerangka pedoman pengembangan teknologi informasi yang diperoleh dari perencanaan TI yang bersifat menyeluruh dan terintegrasi dalam sebuah arsitektur enterprise. Untuk mengembangkan arsitektur enterprise diperlukan alat bantu berupa kerangka kerja arsitektur. Salah satunya yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka kerja Zachman dengan metode Enteprise Architecture Planning (EAP). Metode EAP akan memberikan hasil berupa arsitekur data, aplikasi dan teknologi serta rencana implementasinya sebagai pedoman atau cetak biru untuk perancangan sistem informasi/teknologi informasi di perguruan tinggi.

Implementation of information technology (IT) has become a necessity that must be owned by higher education institutions to improve the quality of education and competitiveness. To provide the maximum outcomes of IT implementation, the institution must have a framework of guidelines for the development of information technology from the IT planning comprehensively and integrated in an enterprise architecture (EA). Developing of enterprise architecture requires tools as the architectural framework. One of EA frameworks which are used in this study using the Zachman framework with the methods of Enteprise Architecture Planning (EAP). The results of EAP consist of data architecture, application architecture, technology architecture and implementation plan. These architectures will become a guidance or a blueprint for the design of information systems / information technology for higher education institutions."
