"Film membentuk interkoneksi antara tokoh dan masyarakat sehingga ruang sosial yang mereka tempati dapat terlihat. Drama medis menampilkan permasalahan yang ada pada masyarakat di dalam ruang sosial rumah sakit dan posisi orang-orang berdasarkan habitus serta kapital yang mereka miliki. Penelitian ini akan mengangkat permasalahan bagaimana strategi narasi drama seri televisi “Charité” menampilkan ruang sosial rumah sakit pada akhir abad ke-19 melalui perspektif tokoh utama perempuan Ida Lenze. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa analisis unsur naratif dan ruang sosial. Dari hasil analisis tersebut ditemukan bahwa perubahan antar kelompok dan posisi dapat terjadi karena kapital yang dimiliki dan kesempatan yang diperoleh dari ruang sosial itu sendiri.

Movies form an interconnection between characters and society. Hence, the social space they occupy could be seen. Each movie shows different social spaces. Medical dramas present existing problems in society within hospital social space and people’s position based on their habitus and capital. This research will raise the issue of how the narrative strategy of the television drama series “Charité” presented the hospital social space at the end of 19th century through the perspective of the main female character Ida Lenze. This study applies a qualitative method in the form of narrative elements and social space analysis within “Charité” drama series. Through the analysis result, it was found that the changes between groups and position may occur by their capital and opportunities obtained from the social space.
