"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik perusahaan terhadap tingkat kepemilikan kas perusahaan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua perusahaan yang tercantum dalam indeks LQ45 pada periode tahun 2008-2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan model data panel fixed effect. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa karakteristik perusahaan secara signifikan dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kepemilikan kas perusahaan. Variabel karakteristik perusahaan yang terbukti secara signifikan dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kepemilikan kas perusahaan adalah net working capital, arus kas/cash flow, capital expenditures, leverage, pembayaran dividen serta ukuran perusahaan.

This research is conducted to analyze the effect of the firm characteristics to the company's cash holdings. Samples in this research are all companies that are listed in the LQ45 index in period 2008-2014. This study uses fixed effect models data panel. The research proves that firm characteristics can significantly affect the level of corporate cash holdings. As the variable, Firm Characteristics proved significantly affect the company's cash holdings level are net working capital, cash flow, capital expenditures, leverage, dividend payment and the firm size."
