"ABSTRAKProses produksi berdasarkan konsep lean production system adalah proses produksi yang efektif dan efisien dimana pada proses produksi tidak ditemukannya pemborosan-pemborosan seperti inventori, kelebihan produksi, transportasi dan pergerakan yang tidak diperlukan. Pada penelitian kali ini, proses produksi dipetakan ke dalam sebuah peta yang dinamakan current state map sehingga keseluruhan aktivitas dapat terlihat dan dapat mengidentifikasi pemborosan yang ada. Semua aktivitas yang tidak memberi nilai tambah dihilangkan dengan melakukan perbaikan dan merancang peta usulan atau proposed state map. Setelah itu disimulasikan dengan software plant simulation. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem produksi sesuai dengan filosofi dari lean production system.
