Abstrak :
Sebagai perusahaan yang memiliki bisnis utama memproduksi baja, PT.Krakatau Steel (persero) harus bekerja keras untuk dapat survive, tumbuh dan berkembang di tengah persaingan industri baja dunia yang semakin kompetitif. Perusahaan harus mampu menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan internal dan eksternal yang dihadapinya. Karenanya, perusahaan juga telah menerapkan berbagai bentuk aplikasi teknologi informasi (TI) untuk menciptakan proses bisnis yang efisien dan sekaligus menjadikannya sebagai salah satu keunggulan kompetitif. Namun demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di perusahaan ini belum seluruhnya dapat membantu penyelesaian berbagai masalah yang ada. Infrastruktur dan aplikasi SI/TI yang ada belum mampu membantu perusahaan melakukan efisiensi proses bisnis, implementasi budaya dan tata nilai perusahaan yang baru serta menekan biaya produksi. Keadaan ini malah diwarnai dengan berbagai permasalahan SI/TI yang saat ini menimpa perusahaan seperti aplikasi SI/TI yang belum terintegrasi, arsitektur infrastruktur SI/TI yang kompleks, adanya perangkat keras, perangkat lunak & jaringan komputer yang sudah obsolete, pengembangan SI/TI yang tidak terarah, kurangnya jumlah personil SI/TI yang kompeten, serta tata kelola SI/TI yang kurang bagus. Dari berbagai permasalahan yang ada, maka penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai pendekatan untuk meningkatkan keselarasan strategi bisnis dengan strategi informasi dengan memanfaatkan TI secara optimal. Dari hasil kajian tersebut diperoleh suatu pendekatan penyusunan Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi dengan studi kasus PT.Krakatau Steel (persero). Pendekatan yang digunakan merupakan kombinasi dari metodologi Ward & Peppard dan framework CobIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology). Rencana strategis SI/TI yang dihasilkan (strategi SI, strategi TI dan strategi manajemen SI/TI), dapat dijadikan dasar untuk pengelolaan SI/TI yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan perusahaan dan memberikan arah bagi pengembangan SI/TI yang mampu memberikan kontribusi positif bagi penyelesaian berbagai permasalahan bisnis dan SI/TI di PT.Krakatau Steel (persero). PT.Krakatau Steel (persero), as a company whose main business is to manufacture steel, has to work hard in order to survive, grow and expand in the midst of an ever increasing competition in the world of steel industry. At the same time, PT.Krakatau Steel (persero) has to also be able to resolve all of the internal or extrenal encountered matters and problems. Hence, PT.Krakatau Steel (persero) has implemented various information techonology applications to create a more efficient business process as well as making it as one of its competitive advantages. However, the use of information technology in PT.Krakatau Steel (persero) is not yet fully effectual to completely resolve all of the existing problems. Its IT infrastuctures and applications have not been fully utilize to support PT.Krakatau Steel (persero) in forming a more effective business process, to implement a better business ethics, as well as to reduce production cost. On the contrary, it possesses generic problems such as unintegrated applications, complicated infrastructure architecture, obsolete hardware, software, and networks, cluttered IT planning, insufficient proficient human resources, as well as deficient IT governance. Therefore, this research is done in order to examine different approaches to develop a better congruence between business strategy and information strategy by fully utilizing information technology. It brings forth a Strategic Planning for Information System with a case study in PT.Krakatau Steel (persero). The approach used was a combination between Ward & Peppard methodology and CobIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology). Output of SPIS (IS Strategy, IT Strategy and IS/IT management strategy) can be used as a common base for IS/IT management which is suitable with the business needs and giving direction for IS/IT development. Finally, it should give a positive contribution to resolve various business and IS/IT problems in PT.Krakatau Steel (persero). Abstrak :
Excellence in skilled operation is vital for the efficiency of geothermal power plants. Mount Salak geothermal power plant unit 1-2-3 has consistently produced no less than 180 MWe to the Java-Bali grid since its first commercial operation in 1994, with an equivalent availability factor (EAF) average of 96%. Owing to this long operation period, power plant efficiency must be improved for the sustainable production of electricity. In this study, energy and exergy analysis has been undertaken to ascertain the amount of energy that is used in the power plant’s current condition, and to determine the plant’s overall system losses. Research was carried out by collecting data relating to temperature, pressure, and mass flow rate. Data were analyzed using the control volume to assess the thermal and mass balance and ascertain the value of exergy. Analysis was conducted theoretically and compared with results calculated by Engineering Equation Solver (EES) software. The results showed that from 1069.90 MWe in steam energy entering the system, the total amount of exergy was 302.42 MWe. Mount Salak geothermal power plant unit 1-2-3 had an overall first law efficiency of 16.75% and an overall second law efficiency of 59.27%. The greatest losses - 27.84% of the total exergy - were in the condensers. This was caused by the quality of cooling water entering condensers, which was in turn a result of cooling tower performance. Results suggest that turbine unit 1 should be investigated further to determine causes of decreased capacity.
