"ABSTRAKTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Cyber bullying sangat berperan penting terhadap Self esteem pengguna Ask.fm. Penulis menggunakan konsep Self esteem yang merujuk pada perasaan seseorang tentang makna dan nilai dirinya. Bagaimana seseorang menghargai, menilai atau menyukai dirinya sendiri. Definisi lain yang lebih luas dan lebih sering digunakan berasal dari pemikiran psikologi, yang menggambarkan self esteem sebagai sikap baik atau tidak baik terhadap diri sendiri. Terdapat beberapa penelitian yang mendasari tulisan ini. Pertama, penelitian Barbara Spears, Phillip Slee, Larry Owens, Bruce Johnson (2009). Dalam jurnal Behind the Scenes and Screens, Insights into the Human Dimension of Covert and Cyber bullying. Kedua, Thomas J. Holt, Grace Chee, Esther Ai Hong Ng, & Adam M. Bossler (2013) dalam jurnal Exploring the Consequences of Bullying Victimization in a Sample of Singapore Youth. Ketiga, Jandy E. Luik (2002) dalam jurnalnya Media Sosial dan Presentasi Diri. Penulis ingin melihat kemampuan self esteem seseorang setelah menjadi korban cyber bullying. Korban cyber bullying yang akan dilihat merupakan remaja. Tulisan ini berupaya untuk memperlihatkan bagaimana pengaruh self esteem seseorang yang telah terkena cyber bullying di media sosial Ask.fm. Selain itu, tulisan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat akademik dan manfaat sosial

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to find out how Cyber`s bullying is very influential for the Ask.fm users? Self esteem. The author uses the concept of Self-esteem that refers to a person's feelings about the meaning and the value of themselves. How does one respect, assess or like himself. Another definition that is broader and more frequently used is derived from the idea of ​​psychology, which describes self-esteem as a good or bad attitude towards oneself. There are some researches that underlie this paper. First, the journal that was written by Barbara Spears, Phillip Slee, Larry Owens, Bruce Johnson (2009) in ?Behind the Scenes and Screens, Insights into the Human Dimension of Covert and cyber bullying?. Second, the journal that was written by Thomas J. Holt, Grace Chee, Esther Ai Hong Ng, and Adam M. Bossler (2013) ?Exploring the Consequences of Bullying victimization in a sample of the Singapore Youth?. Third, the journal that was written by Jandy E. Luik (2002) in ?Social Media and Presentation of Self?. The author would like to see the ability of a person's self esteem after becoming a victim of cyberbullying. Victims of cyberbullying that are seen in this paper are teenagers. This paper seeks to show how cyberbullying affects a person?s self esteem after being bullied on Ask.fm. In addition, this paper is expected to be academically and socially beneficial."
