Tesis ini membahas tema ideologi teks novel Les toiles de Sidi Moumen dan film Les Chevaux de Dieu melalui kajian alih wahana. Pengungkapan ideologi teks diperoleh dengan menggunakan pendekatan struktural dan analisis wacana kritis dari kedua karya. Hasil penelitian ekranisasi ini mengungkapkan ideologi teks yang berbeda, khususnya dalam perubahan citraan tokoh fundamentalis. Unsur naratif dan sinematografis film menghilangkan beberapa gagasan yang ada di dalam struktur naratif novel, seperti latar belakang keluarga, kisah cinta, pelampiasan hawa nafsu, dan aspek emosional tokoh. Wahana film mengutamakan interaksi antartokoh untuk membentuk tokoh fundamentalis. Tesis ini memberikan pemahaman bahwa hasil ekranisasi mampu menampilkan citraan tokoh fundamentalis Islam sebagai bentuk kesadaran diri pada nilai kemanusiaan yang terdapat di dalam novel dan sebagai sebuah internalisasi praktik kekuasan yang tidak disadari tokoh dalam film.

ABSTRACT
This study aims at showing the changes of ideology of the text in the novel Les toiles de Sidi Moumen and in its film adapation which goes under the title of Les Chevaux de Dieu. To unravel the ideology of the two texts, this study uses the structural approach and critical discourse analysis. The results reveal that the narrative and cinematographic elements of the film incite some changes in the images of the fundamentalist characters. The changes indicate that there are some eliminations of the following elements from the narrative structure of the novel a family background a love story a lust and emotional aspects of the characters. This thesis provides an understanding that the imagery of the fundamentalist characters could be shown as a self consciousness on the value of humanity in the characters through the novel and as an internalization of power practices, which are not recognized by the characters in the film.

Skripsi ini membahas tema kekuasaan yang terdapat di dalam film Un Prophète karya Jacques Audiard melalui analisis aspek naratif dan sinematografis film. Analisis juga didukung konsep kekuasaan Pierre Bourdieu untuk melihat bentuk pertarungan kekuasaan yang terjadi antartokoh dalam film. Pertarungan kekuasaan berhubungan dengan kepemilikan kapital tiap tokoh. Hasil analisis menampilkan relasi kuasa pada tokoh dalam mengakumulasikan dan mempertahankan kapital yang dimiliki di dalam ruang penjara. Film ini memperlihatkan usaha tokoh memperoleh kapital yang dibutuhkan dalam pertarungan kekuasaan. ...... This study discusses the themes of power contained in Un Prophète, directed by Jacques Audiard, through narrative and cinematographic aspects of the film. The analysis is also supported by Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of power to see the power struggle among the characters of the film. The power struggle is related to the capital ownership of each character. The analysis results show the power relation within the characters in accumulating and retaining the capitals that are held in the prison. This film shows the venture of the character to obtain the capitals which are needed in the power struggle.
