"ABSTRAKDewasa ini, jumlah pasien diabetes melitus semakin meningkat jumlahnya karena jenis penyakit ini dapat menyerang semua kelompok usia. Semakin meningkatnya jumlah penderita diabetes melitus mak perawat dituntut untuk dapat lebih memahami masalah kesehatan yang mungkin muncul pada pasien yakni fisik dan mental. Dalam menangani pasien diabetes melitus, maka aspek mental perlu diperhatikan karena memengaruhi kesehatan klien secara fisik, salah satu masalah yang dapat muncul adalah harga diri rendah situasional (HDRS) karena pengobatan seumur hidup adanya modifikasi gaya hidup pengontrolan nilai kadar gula darah sampai pada pencegahan komplikasi mikroangiopati luka gangren. Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan melaporkan analisis masalah dan intervensi keperawatan psikososial HDRS. Evaluasi akhir menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan harga diri dan penerimaan terhadap bentuk baru anggota tubuh yang bermasalah. Pada akhirnya, pengembangan dan implementasi asuhan keperawatan psikososial HDRS perlu diterapkan di ruang rawat umum terutama pada klien yang menderita penyakit diabetes melitus dengan komplikasi luka gangren

ABSTRACTNowadays the number of patients with diabetes melitus has increased because this type of disease can happen in any groups of ages. This increasing amount of patients indirectly force the nurses to understand the health problems better, and demand the best intervention from possible problems which can occur in patients physical and mental health. In dealing with diabetes melitus patients, the psychosocial aspect is noteworthy important because it affects clients physically health. One kind of mental matters that can happen is situational low self esteem because of whole life treatment since diagnosed by physician, the presence of life styles modifications, controlling the blood-sugar levels to prevent microangiopathy complications like gangrene. This papers aims to report the analysis and interventions from situational low self esteem as psychosocial problems. The final evaluation shows that there is an increase in self esteem and feeling of acceptance of patients new body form. In the end the development and implementation of psychosocial nursing care of low self esteem needs to be applied in general care unit in hospital especially in patient who suffering from diabetes mellitus and its complications like gangrene wound"
