"Penerapan tegangan tinggi AC pada sistem tenaga listrik menimbulkan beberapa gejala, salah satunya korona. Salah satu dampak yang ditimbulkan korona pada sistem tenaga listrik adalah kenaikan nilai distorsi harmonik dari gelombang sumber. Korona dapat ditemukan pada saluran transmisi, gardu induk dan gardu distribusi. Pengujian untuk mendeteksi korona pada kubikel model dengan melihat perubahan nilai total distorsi harmonik (THD) dilakukan untuk mengurangi dampak negatif yang ditimbulkannya. Hasil pengujian menyatakan bahwa nilai THD semakin meningkat saat terjadinya korona. Perubahan jarak penghantar dengan kubikel dan besar diameter kawat penghantar juga mempengaruhi besar perubahan THD.
Application of AC high voltage in power system cause several effect, such as corona. One of impact caused by corona in power system is increasing the value of harmonic distortion of power source. Corona mostly developed in transmission lines, substations and distribution substation. Experiment to detect corona in cubicle model by observing the gradient of total harmonic distortion (THD) is conducted to reduce the negative impact caused by them. Results show that THD's value increasing during corona phenomenon. Changes in distance between electrode and cubicle as well as diameter of electrode influence the THD's values."

"A proper charging and an accurate battery State of Charge (SOC) method are essential for having optimum utilization of a battery. The proper way of charging is compulsory to extend battery life and prevent it from being damaged. Three-step charge, which consist of two constant current and a constant voltage, is a charging method that speed up charging time of 10 units lead acid batteries with total capacity of 4.94Ah that connected in series up to 6.97% compare with two-step charge and prevents them being overcharged. Constant voltage discharge also provided by the half-bridge in this thesis.
The SOC estimation in this thesis use Neural Network method, then compare with Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) prediction method and coulometric counting method. Experiment results show that the system could implement three-step method without any problem and the SOC estimation shows accurate measurements with maximum average percentage error no more than 0.893%."
