Sebuah pemikiran mengenai kepemilikan atas diri sendiri, atau sebuah terminologi yang sering digunakan yaitu Self-Ownership merupakan sebuah konsep yang dapat dilacak secara historis. Sebuah pemikiran konseptual mengenai kepemilikan atas diri sendiri merupakan sebuah konsep yang seringkali dikaitkan dengan sebuah konsep keadilan. Hal ini, mengundang sebuah pertanyaan yang mendasar mengenai justifikasi epistemologis dari sebuah akar konseptual konsep Self-Ownership dan identifikasi epistemologis tersebut adalah konsep imperatif kategoris Immanuel Kant dengan segenap konsep pendukungnya. ......
