ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel internal
perusahaan dan variabel eksternal terhadap struktur modal untuk masing-masing
jenis industri dengan menggunakan metode regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa jenis industri tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap leverage
perusahaan. Faktor eksternal yang berpengaruh signifikan adalah inflation rate
dan stock market size. Analisis menggunakan beberapa teori struktur modal
menunjukkan bahwa teori static trade-off dan teori pecking-order dapat
memberikan prediksi terhadap hasil regresi. Hasil uji nested model menunjukkan
bahwa perusahaan juga mempertimbangkan kondisi periode sebelumnya dalam
keputusan pendanaan.
ABSTRACT
This research is conducted to analyze the influence of internal variables
and external variables on capital structure for each industry type using panel data
regression method. The results show that the type of industry does not
significantly influence leverage. External factors that significantly influence
leverage are inflation rate and stock market size. Analysis using several theories
of capital structure suggests that the static trade-off theory and pecking-order
theory can provide prediction for the regression results. Nested model test
indicates that companies also consider the conditions of the previous period in
their funding decision.
