"Manusia selama perjalanan hidupnya akan membentuk identitas berdasarkan interaksinya. Identitas pada tiap orang dapat berjumlah dari satu dan dapat bersifat saling mendukung atau saling berlawanan. Penelitian terdahulu menemukan bahwa konflik identitas yang dialami seseorang akan berdampak pada kepuasan hidupnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara konflik identitas dan kepuasan hidup. Penelitian ini juga berusaha menjelaskan peran moderasi dari persepsi fleksibilitas diri dan efikasi diri seseorang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data dari 152 partisipan berusia 18 tahun ke atas. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa konflik identitas memprediksi kepuasan hidup secara negatif. Hasil analisis moderasi menemukan bahwa persepsi fleksibilitas diri dan efikasi diri tidak memoderasi hubungan antara konflik identitas dan kepuasan hidup seseorang.

People throughout their lives interact with each other and develop identities. People also could adopt more than one identity simultaneously, in which the identities could be either be supportive or conflicting with each other. Previous research shown that identity conflict has an effect to life satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to define the relationship between identity conflict and life satisfaction. This research also tried to seek moderation effect through self-perception of flexibility and self-efficacy. Data was collected from 152 participants of 18 year-old and older. Regression analysis shown that identity conflict predicts life satisfaction negatively. Moderation analysis shown that both self-perception of flexibility and self-efficacy did not moderate the relationship of identity conflict and life satisfaction. "
