ABSTRACTThe chaotic political issues always accompany the nation of Indonesia until this day. One of them is reflected in political dimension which summarized on the intolerance narrative in the election of Jakarta governor in 2017. Nonetheless, gender and women dimensions seem to shrink from public attention. Within the framework of the state, the important role of women for national life is reduced in the ideology of ibuism.This ideology actually finds a way in triggering activation of women when adapting to Political Islam. For that reason, research question of this paper is how the ibuism of political Islam affect the perception and preferences of female voters in the election of Jakarta governor in 2017? In order to answer the question, this paper uses a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach. As the final result, this paper conclude that in the framework of ibuism of political Islam, women played a role as agent which directing women voter perception. It is worked in taklims mobilization network where women voter are asked vow to vote or do not vote particular candidate in Jakarta governor election in 2017."

ABSTRAKDalam beberapa tahun belakangan ini, kebijakan luar negeri Indonesia tampak berusaha mencitrakan identitas Islam moderat dalam hubungan internasional. Hal ini berbeda dengan praktik-praktik kebijkan luar negeri Indonesia yang secara historis menghindari refleksi faktor Islam meski mayoritas penduduknya adalah Muslim. Hal ini lantas menimbulkan pertanyaan mengapa kebijakan luar negeri Indonesia mempromosikan identitas Islam moderat. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam tesis ini adalah kualitatif dalam anilisis wacana. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Islam moderat Indonesia ingin mengidentifikasi dirinya dengan membedakan dari negera-negara Muslim lain, khususnya kawasan Timur Tengah; adanya ekspektasi dunia internasional, khususnya negara-negara Barat, untuk memahami dan mendekatkan diri dengan dunia Muslim; pemerintah Indonesia ingin mengakomodasi suara komunitas Muslim dalam negeri yang selama ini mengharapkan adanya perbaikan hubungan dengan dunia Islam; adanya motivasi Indonesia untuk mengambil peran dalam hubungan internasional sesuai dengan konsistensi cara pandangnya terhadap dunia.
ABSTRACTIn recent years, Indonesia's foreign policy seemed to be portraying moderate Islamic identity in international relations. This is in contrast to practices foreign policy of Indonesia, which has historically avoided the reflection factor of Islam while the majority of the population is Muslim. This then begs the question why Indonesia's foreign policy promoting moderate Islamic identity. The methodology used in this thesis is a qualitative in discourse analysis. The results of this study are moderate Islam Indonesia wants to identify its self to distinguish from other Muslim countries, especially the Middle East region; there are expectations of the international community, especially Western countries, to understand and get closer to the Muslim world; Indonesia government wants to accommodate the voice of domestic Muslim community that had been hoping for a better relations with the Muslim world; the motivation of Indonesia to take part in international relations in accordance with the consistency of its worldview."
