Abstrak :
Merapi-Merbau is a mandala which developed in the Majapahit empire. Teaching of religions and translating of manuscripts was an important activity in this area. Merapi-Merbabu manuscript has been a collection of the National Library of Republic Indonesia and in private collections. Darma Jati is a manuscript from the Merapi-Merbabu scriptoria which form a collection of the National Library of Republic Indonesia. The research of Darma Jati manuscripts executed of taking inventory and comparing the manuscripts to decide the text edition. There are twenty manuscripts in Darma Jail entitled from different scriptoria. The manuscripts from Merapi-Merbabu No. L 442 is the basis of the text edition and translation using the diplomatic method. Next the text and its script are analyzed. This research brings to light that the Darma Jati manuscript contains about religious principles, learning and the location of Darma Jati doctrine. The principle of Darma Jati doctrine are yoga, sakti, ruwat and moksa. Besides the scripts of this manuscript shows that buda script was taught in this area. The expose about script in the manuscript can be used as a guideline to read other Merapi-Merbabu manuscripts.
