"Pada industri minyak bumi dan gas, ketersediaan material pada aktivitas pengeboran merupakan hal yang penting. Apabila material yang dibutuhkan tidak tersedia, maka dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penundaan aktivitas pengeboran dan berarti perusahaan harus mengeluarkan biaya tambahan. Persediaan pada Santos Pty Ltd pada bulan Juni 2008 sebesar USD 27 juta. Hal ini menunjukkan indikasi terjadinya surplus material dan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat menyebabkan terjadinya keusangan yang berarti akan menyebabkan peningkatan biaya pada laporan laba dan rugi perusahaan. Selain itu penumpukan material mengakibatkan biaya pengelolaan yang tinggi. Biaya pengelolaan material pada Santos Pty Ltd rata rata sebesar USD 1,9 juta per tahunnya.Tesis ini membahas pengelolaan persediaan pada Santos Pty Ltd dilihat dari efektivitas pengelolaan gudang. Pada aktivitas ini akan dilakukan analisis terhadap biaya pengelolaan material untuk mengetahui apakah sudah dilakukan secara efektif dan melihat potensi efisiensi yang dapat dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Pada saat ini perusahaan menyerahkan pengelolaan gudang kepada pihak ketiga agar perusahaan dapat fokus pada aktivitas pengeboran dan produksi minyak dan gas bumi serta untuk mencapai efesiensi. Dari pembahasan yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa aktivitas pengelolaan gudang belum dilakukan secara efektif dan masih dapat dilakukan efesiensi. Pada komponen biaya sewa lahan perusahaan dapat melakukan penghematan dengan mengoptimalkan penyusunan material sehingga akan memperkecil lahan yang dibutuhkan. Pada kondisi tidak ada aktivitas, maka material dapat disusun berdasarkan ukuran material tanpa melihat jenisnya dengan tetap memperhatikan faktor keselamatan. Penghematan juga dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis terhadap biaya sewa peralatan. Perusahaan harus melakukan analisis terhadap kebutuhan minimal peralatan yang cukup untuk mendukung aktivitas operasional. Berdasarkan perhitungan kebutuhan peralatan, maka perusahaan dapat melakukan pengurangan peralatan. Penghematan lain yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan analisis terhadap kebutuhan tenaga kerja. Berdasarkan analisis, terjadi tumpang tindih antara fungsi senior supervisor dan supervisor. Perusahaan dapat melakukan pengurangan atas fungsi supervisor dengan memindahkannya ke departemen lain yang membutuhkan atau melakukan pemutusan hubungan kerja. This thesis discussed the inventory management to Santos Pty Ltd was seen from the effectiveness of the warehouse management. In this activity will be carried out by the analysis against the material management cost to know whether being carried out effectively and seeing the potential for efficiency that could be carried out by the company. From discussions that were carried out could be learnt that the activity of the warehouse management was not yet carried out effectively and still could be carried out efficiency. To the component the cost of rent of the company's land could carry out saving by maximizing the material compilation so as to reduce the area that was needed. In the condition did not have the activity, then material could be compiled was based on the material measurement without seeing his kind permanently paid attention to the safety factor. Saving could be also carried out by carrying out the analysis against the cost of equipment rent. The company must carry out the analysis towards the minimal requirement for equipment that was enough to support the operational activity. Was based on the calculation of the requirement for equipment, then the company could carry out the reduction in equipment. Other saving that was carried out was by carrying out the analysis towards the requirement for manpower. Was based on the analysis, the overlap between the function of the senior supervisor and the supervisor happened. "ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui strategi rekrutmen perusahaan PT Jasindo dalam menghadapi masyarakat ekonomi ASEAN. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teori strategi rekrutmen. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa strategi rekrutmen PT Jasindo dalam menghadapi masyarakat ekonomi ASEAN 2015 sesuai dengan yang dilaksanakan saat ini, dimulai dari bagaimana perhitungan tenaga kerja yang dimana perhitungannya dilakukan dengan cermat berdasarkan angka kebutuhan jangka panjang perusahaan, lalu spesifikasi tenaga kerja yang mempunyai pemikiran internasional, pendidikan internasional sekaligus juga mempunyai kemampuan penjualan yang baik dan rekrutmen yang fleksibel dengan menggunakan rekrutmen umum dan khusus guna membuka kesempatan bagi tenaga kerja secara luas dan mengisi tenaga kerja dalam keadaan-keadaan khusus yang harus diisi secara mendesak bagi perusahaan.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to describe about recruitment strategy that PT Jasindogonna use when facing the ASEAN economic community 2015. This is using qualitative research with recruitment strategy (venithzal, 2009). The result that PT Jasindo on facing the ASEAN economic community is using the strategy that had used currently. From the human resource planning, the company have been counted for a longterm plan of the company with the specification of people that have an international knowledge and ide. The recruitment is flexible that give a chance to open recruiting for a lot of people and special recruit for certain cases that to recruit certain people needed by the company immediately."
