"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana Rasa Takut mempengaruhi Pengguna Ruang Publik hingga timbul Arsitektur Defensif yang dapat membatasi ruang dan perilaku pengguna ruang publik. Penelitian ini dipicu dengan adanya perbedaan kelas antara dua kelompok serta ketidaksenangan instansi-instansi terhadap kelompok tertentu yang mengakibatkan adanya pengusiran kelompok-kelompok yang kelasnya lebih rendah darinya. Hal tersebut timbul arsitektur baru yaitu Arsitektur Defensif untuk membatasi perilaku kelompok tersebut. Arsitektur Defensif merupakan sebuah sarana untuk mengatur, meminimalisir, membatasi ruang dan perilaku masyarakat. Arsitektur Defensif ini berperan tidak hanya untuk kenyamanan pengguna ruang publik dan kota, namun juga untuk tunawisma yang seharusnya menjadi target dari Arsitektur Defensif ini. Namun dengan berperannya kepada kedua belah pihak yaitu pengguna ruang publik dan tunawisma, justru Arsitektur Defensif berdampak kepada kedua belah pihak itu juga.

This study aims to see how Fear affects Public Space Users so that a Defensive Architecture emerges that can limit the space and behavior of public space users. This research was triggered by the existence of class differences between the two groups and the displeasure of institutions towards certain groups which resulted in the expulsion of groups whose class was lower than them. This resulted in a new architecture, namely Defensive Architecture, to limit the group's behavior. Defensive Architecture is a means to regulate, minimize, limit  the space and people's behavior. This Defensive Architecture plays a role not only for the convenience of users of public spaces and cities, but also for the homeless who should be the target of this Defensive Architecture. However, with its role for both parties, namely the users of public spaces and the homeless, Defensive Architecture has an impact on both parties as well."
