"Skripsi ini berisi tentang jenis cerita detektif yang terdapat di dalam novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ Penasihat Negara karya Boris Akunin. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dan mengaitkannya dengan teori sekuen, teori sintagmatik dan paradigmatik, serta teori jenis cerita detektif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, telah dibuktikan bahwa novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ Penasihat Negara karya Boris Akunin termasuk ke dalam jenis cerita detektif the suspense karena memiliki kaidah-kaidah yang terdapat dalam jenis tersebut, yaitu terdapat misteri, memiliki alur ganda, terdapat masalah percintaan, dan tokoh detektifnya tidak memiliki imunitas.

This thesis consist of detective story type contained in the novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ The State Councellor written by Boris Akunin. The method used in this thesis is descriptive-analytical and relate it to the theory of sequence, theory of syntagmatic, and paradigmatic,and also the type of detective story. Based on the analysis, it has been proved that novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ The State Councelor by Boris Akunin included in "the suspense" type of detective story because it has the characteristics of that type. It has a mystery, has a double groove, there are issues of romance, and his detective character does not have immunity."
