Arus globalisasi telah memaksa setiap perusahaan untuk meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing. Era baru, melahirkan standar kompetisi baru. PERTAMINA yang ingin memastikan kelangsungan hidup melalui pertumbuhan dan profitabilitas, telah melaksanakan restrukturisasi pola usaha dari pusat biaya (cost center) menjadi orientasi laba (profit oriented), antara lain dengan melakukan evaluasi. terhadap cara/metode yang selama ini digunakan. Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) Cilacap merupakan salah satu unit usaha strategik (strategic business unit) di lingkungan PERTAMINA yang memproduksi berbagai jenis pelumas. Penulis menjadikan LOBP Cilacap sebagai obyek studi khusus dalam hal penentuan harga pokok produk pelumas, dengan cara menganalisis sistem saat ini dan menawarkan konsep perancangan sistem manajemen biaya (cost management system) yaitu dengan penerapan model activity-based costing (ABC). Walaupun masih terbatas pada tahap perancangan, namun diharapkan konsep ini dapat dijadikan sebagai "promosi" memperkenalkan sistem akuntansi manajemen yang relevan untuk diimplementasikan di era pasca restrukturisasi PERTAMINA. ...... PERTAMINA as a company who wants to make. sure the survival through growth and profitability has done the restructuring its business method from "cost center" to become "profit oriented", among other ways by evaluating the method that is done new a days. Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) Cilacap is one of the Strategic Business Units in PERTAMINA which produces many kinds of lube oils. The Writer chose the LOBP Calico as the study object specifically to the determine the basic nice of the lube oil products by way of analyzing the today's system and offering the concept of Cost Management System by implementing Activity-Based Costing. Even though it is limited to design stage, hopefully this concept can be used as a way to promote the cost management system to be implemented in the post restructuring era of PERTAMINA.
