"Pertumbuhan pasar otomotif di Indonesia membuat penjualan motor mengalami pertumbuhan sehingga produsen motorpun berlomba dengan meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produksinya untuk meraih pasar yang besar. Permintaan pasar atas kuantitas motor yang tinggi ini memerlukan dukungan proses produksi yang dapat diandalkan. Salah satu bentuk dukungan proses produksi yaitu sistem informasi. Untuk memastikan proses produksi berjalan dengan baik untuk itulah dibutuhkan laporan produksi yang dapat diakses tepat waktu oleh pengambil keputusan.
Dari hasil pengamatan diketahui bahwa para pengambil keputusan seringkali tidak berada di lapangan sehingga mendapatkan sedikit sekali informasi terkait kejadian di lapangan. Salah satu masalah yang sering muncul adalah masalah minus produksi. Padahal seharusnya masalah tersebut dapat dicegah oleh pengambil keputusan dengan mengetahui informasi rinci mengenai masalah yang terdapat di lapangan sehingga dapat memecahkan masalah sebelum masalah yang sama terulang.
Oleh karena itulah pengembangan sistem informasi diperlukan pada sistem informasi monitoring proses produksi engine dengan menggunakan metode Framework Analytical System Thinking (FAST) untuk menghasilkan laporan produksi harian yang lebih cepat dan mudah diakses oleh para pengambil keputusan sehingga dapat membantu menghasilkan keputusan yang tepat dan memperkuat sistem kontrol produksi.

The growth of the automotive market in Indonesia made motorcycle sales growth, that the motor manufacturers were compete to improve their quality and quantity of production to achieve that large market. In order to fulfill the market demand of high quantity motorcycle, require the support of a reliable production process. One kind of support that the production process is information systems. To ensure the production process runs as planned need the production of reports that can be accessed timely by decision makers.
As the observation begin, those the decision makers were not always present in the field so they gets very little relevant information about the problem in the plant. For example, one problem that often arises is the problem is a minus in production quantity that reflected in the high reject rate in May 2013. Though the problem should be prevented by the decision makers know the detailed information about the problems that are in the field so as to solve the same problems before they happen.
Hence, the development of information systems required in the information system monitoring engine production process using the Analytical Framework System Thinking ( FAST ) to generate daily production reports more quickly and easily accessible to decision makers so that they can help produce the right decisions and strengthen the control system production."
