"Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan perlu memiliki strategi sendiri dalam memaksimalkan penetrasi terhadap energi terbarukan. Tidak perlu selalu berkaca kepada eropa sebagai salah satu rujukan energi terbarukan saat ini karena dataran eropa yang kontinental dan tidak selalu cocok untuk diimplementasikan di Indonesia dengan karakteristik kepulauannya. Konsep Island Charging menjadi salah satu penawaran solusi untuk Indonesia dalam memaksimalkan penetrasi energi terbarukan, oleh karenanya perlu dibuat model bisnis yang dapat dijadikan acuan dalam membentuk bisnis Island Charging dengan mengambil tempat studi di provinsi NTT. Konsep bisnis dibuat dengan menggunakan metode konsep bisnis kanvas dengan metode yang dibawa Osterwalder pada tahun 2010, beserta tools penunjang untuk memperkuat konsep bisnis Island Charging. Di provinsi NTT sendiri masih terdapat 37 sistem isolated yang dikelola oleh PLN, dari 37 sistem isolated ini diambil 2 sistem yang mewakili yaitu terdekat serta untuk menjangkaunya menggunakan transport darat dan laut untuk dihitung berapa Cost of Energy pada 2 pusat beban tersebut dan dibandingkan secara langsung dengan BPP setempat. Konsep model bisnis Island Charging tersaji dengan 9 Pillar bisnis yang dikemas dalam satu bentuk bisnis model kanvas beserta penjelasan singkat, serta penjabaran oleh tools penunjang untuk memperdalam pemahaman terhadap model bisnis serta ditutup dengan evaluasi terhadap model bisnis Island Charging. Hasil perhitungan CoE dari 2 sistem isolated yang akan diakusisi oleh model bisnis Island Charging menunjukkan hasil yang kompetitif dibandingkan BPP setempat.

Indonesia as an archipelagic country needs to have its strategy in maximizing the penetration of renewable energy. There is no need to look to Europe as one of the current renewable energy role models because Europe with its continental characteristics not always suitable to be implemented in Indonesia with its archipelagic characteristics. The concept of Island Charging is one of the solutions offered for Indonesia in maximizing the penetration of renewable energy, therefore it is necessary to create a business model that can be used as a reference in establishing the Island Charging business by taking a study site in the province of NTT. The business concept was created using the canvas business concept method with the method introduced by Osterwalder in 2010, along with supporting tools to strengthen the Island Charging business concept. In the province of NTT itself, there are still 37 isolated systems managed by PLN, of these 37 isolated systems, 2 representative systems are taken, namely the closest and to reach them using land and sea transport to calculate the Cost of Energy at the 2 load centers and compare directly with local Basic Cost. The concept of the Island Charging business model is presented with 9 business pillars packaged in a canvas business model along with a brief explanation, as well as explanations by supporting tools to deepen understanding of the business model and close with an evaluation of the Island Charging business model. The results of the CoE calculation from 2 isolated systems that will be acquired by the Island Charging business model show competitive results compared to local Basic Cost."
