Skripsi ini membahas mengenai peran sebuah perpustakaan khusus instansi pemerintahan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi peneliti hakim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi peneliti hakim dan layanan yang diberikan Perpustakaan MK dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi peneliti hakim. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan Mahkamah Konstitusi sudah dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi peneliti hakim. Layanan yang dimiliki perpustakaan Mahkamah Konstitusi sudah mampu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi peneliti hakim, walaupun ada beberapa koleksi yang harus ditambah untuk meningkatkan peran perpustakaan yang lebih baik lagi.

This research examines the role of a special library of a governmental body in fulfilling the need of information by the judges? researchers. This research is to identify the need of information by the judges? researchers and the services provided by Perpustakaan Mahkamah Konstitusi in fulfilling the need of information by the judges? researchers. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive design. The result of this research shows that Perpustakaan Mahkamah Konstitusi has been able to fulfil the need of information by the judges? researchers. The services provided by Perpustakaan Mahkamah Konstitusi has been able to fulfill the need of information by the judges? researchers, even though there are some collection that should be added to increase the role of a better library.
