"ABSTRACTTugas karya akhir ini menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya intervensi militer Perancis di dalam konflik C te d rsquo;Ivoire tahun 2002. Konflik yang terjadi di dalam politik C te d Ivoire berawal dari masalah perekonomian dan juga masalah rasisme yang mengakar di dalam politik C te d rsquo;Ivoire. Masalah tersebut mengalami puncak di pemberontakan tahun 2002. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan studi literatur. Di dalam memahami faktor pendorong kebijakan intervensi Perancis, penelitian ini menggunakan konsep kepentingan nasional di dalam pendekatan realisme. Digunakan pula faktor-faktor pendukung terjadinya intervensi militer yang dikemukakan oleh Neil MacFarlane. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa setidaknya ada tiga faktor yang mendorong terjadinya intervensi militer yang dilakukan oleh Perancis. Ketiga faktor tersebut adalah faktor ekonomi, faktor hubungan historis, serta faktor pengaruh tokoh atau aktor politik.

ABSTRACTThis study tries to analyze the causes of Frances intervention in C te d rsquo Ivoires 2002 conflict. The conflict which occured in C te d Ivoire caused by economic issues and also racism problems which have rooted in C te d Ivoires politics. These problems reached its peak in the 2002 rebellion in C te d Ivoire. The qualitative method was used in this study by conducting a study of literature. In understanding the the causes of Frances policy of intervention, this study uses the concept of national interests in realism approaches. This study also use the causes of military intervention which put forward by Neil MacFarlane. In conclusion, there are three factors which caused Frenchs military intervention. They are economic factors, historical factors, and the political actors. "
