"Research about a function generator that can controlled by Personal Computer has been conducted. It can generate electronic signals with variety waveform (sine, triangle and square), frequencies (0.425Hz-8MHz), duty cycles (5%-50%) and amplitude (2Vpp). The main purpose of this experiment is to help studeent and scientist who need a signal source with proper waveform, amplitude, frequency and duty cycle. In this experiment, the Personal Computer sends commands to microcontroller through a serial port interface. The microcontroller will control the function generator chip to produce the required electronic signal. In order to operate properly, this instruent is programmed using Assembly Language and Microsoft Visual Basic."
