"[Jatuh merupakan salah satu masalah yang serius pada lansia. Gangguan
keseimbangan tubuh merupakan salah satu penyebab jatuh yang cukup penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh latihan keseimbangan lansia selama 8 minggu terhadap keseimbangan tubuh, risiko jatuh, status kesehatan dan kualitas hidup lansia. Penelitian quasi experimental ini terdiri dari dua kelompok; 30 lansia sebagai kelompok kontrol dan 30 perlakuan. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah multistage random sampling. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan latihan keseimbangan lansia berpengaruh signifikan meningkatkan keseimbangan tubuh (p=0,0005), status kesehatan (p=0,0005), kualitas hidup (p=0,0001) dan menurunkan risiko jatuh (p=0,0005). Hasil uji mancova menunjukkan pengaruh LKS lansia diperkuat oleh usia (p=0,0005). Latihan keseimbangan lansia dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu upaya pencegahan gangguan keseimbangan tubuh, risiko jatuh dan upaya meningkatkan status
kesehatan dan kualitas hidup pada lansia di komunitas. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian pada kelompok usia yang berbeda untuk mengetahui keefektifan latihan keseimbangan lansia;Falls are the one of serious problem among elderly. Balance impairment is one of important cause of fall. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of elderly balance exercise on postural balance, risk of fall, health status and quality of life among elderly. This quasi experimental design included two groups; 30 subjects as intervention groups and 30 subjects as control groups. Sample was taken by multistage random sampling. There were significant improvements in
postural balance (p=0,0005), health status (p=0,0005) and quality of life (p=0,0001). However, there was a significant reducing in risk of fall (p=0,0005). The result of mancova showed that elderly balance exercise strengthened by age (p=0,0005). Balance exercise can be utilized as one of the preventive effort to maintain postural balance, reduce risk of fall, increase health status and quality of life among elderly in the community. Future research may consider variation of

"Gangguan keseimbangan tubuh merupakan salah masalah kesehatan yang sering dialami oleh lansia. Masalah ini dapat mengakibatkan jatuh dan cedera bila tidak dicegah. Model intervensi cegah gangguan keseimbangan tubuh (Cegat lansia) merupakan bentuk intervensi keperawatan komunitas yang dapat mempertahankan keseimbangan tubuh lansia. Penulisan bertujuan memberikan gambaraan pelaksanaan model intervensi keperawatan komunitas “cegat lansia” untuk mempertahankan keseimbangan tubuh dalam pelayanan keperawatan komunitas melalui integrasi teori dan model community as partner, family center nursing, konsekuensi fungsional dan fungsi manajemen pada kelompok lansia dengan gangguan keseimbangan di Kelurahan Srengseng Sawah, Jakarta Selatan. Hasil intervensi menunjukkan model intervensi cegat lansia berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan tubuh (p=0,000), pengetahuan (p=0,000), sikap (p=0,000) dan keterampilan (p=0,000). Model intervensi ini dapat meningkatkan keseimbangan tubuh pada lansia di komunitas. Hal ini memberi peluang bagi perawat kesehatan komunitas dalam pengembangan intervensi promotif dan preventif. Model intervensi ini aman, mudah, efektif dan murah bagi lansia di komunitas.

Balance impairment is one of health problem among older adults. This problem can lead to falls and injuries if not prevented. The intervention model to prevent balance impairment (as known as cegat lansia) is a community nursing intervention to maintain the postural balance among older adults. This report aimed to provide an overview of the implementation of nursing intervention and services project through the integration of the community as partner, family center nursing, functional concequences, and management function among older adults with balance impairment in Srengseng Sawah South Jakarta. The results of intervention showed cegat lansia intervention have a significant effect in improving the postural balance (p = 0.000), knowledge (p = 0.000), attitude (p = 0.000) and skills (p = 0.000). It concludes that the intervention model can improve postural balance among older adults in the community. That gives an opportunity for community health nurses to develop promotive and preventive interventions. It concludes that this intervention model for older adults is safe, easy, effective and inexpensive to older adults in the community.

"Kualitas hidup lansia dipengaruhi berbagai faktor seperti kesehatan fisik, kesehatan psikologis, hubungan sosial dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh latihan keseimbangan terhadap kualitas hidup lansia di Kota Depok. Penelitian quasi experiment ini dilakukan pada dua kelompok; 30 lansia sebagai kelompok kontrol dan 30 lansia sebagai kelompok perlakuan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah multistage random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latihan keseimbangan berpengaruh signifikan, meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia (p<0,001). Hal ini disebabkan karena latihan keseimbangan dapat meningkatkan kesehatan fisik, kesehatan psikologis, hubungan sosial dan lingkungan. Latihan keseimbangan lansia dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pada lansia di komunitas. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian pada kelompok usia yang berbeda untuk mengetahui keefektifan latihan keseimbangan lansia.

Further research may consider a variety of age to know the effectiveness of balance exercise."

"Falls are a serious consequence of declining physical function. Otago exercise is a strength and balance training program designed to prevent falls and enhance health status among the elderly. This study aimed to investigate the effect of a 12-
week Otago exercise intended to reduce the risk of falls and health status among the elderly with chronic illness in the social elderly institution. This quasi-experimental study employed a pre- and post-test design using a control group. The study involved an intervention group (21 respondents) and a control group (21 respondents). The sample used in this study were elderly living in a social elderly institution. The sample was selected using simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using Mann–Whitney test, independent t-test, and Chi-square test. Otago exercise significantly reduced
the respondents’ risk of falling and enhanced their health status. Significant differences were observed between the two groups in terms of the risk of fall (p= 0.041) and health status (p= 0.011). Otago exercise significantly improves the health status and reduces the risk of falling among elderly with chronic illness. The exercise can be recommended for older adults with chronic illness in social elderly institutions and communities.

Jatuh adalah konsekuensi serius dari penurunan fungsi fisik. Latihan Otago adalah program latihan kekuatan dan keseimbangan yang didesain untuk mencegah jatuh dan meningkatkan status kesehatan pada lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efek 12 minggu latihan Otago untuk menurunkan risiko jatuh dan meningkatkan status kesehatan pada lansia dengan penyakit kronik di Panti Sosial lansia. Penelitian Quasi-eksperimental ini menggunakan pre-post dengan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok intervensi dan kontrol masing-masing terdiri dari 21 responden. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia yang tinggal di UPT Kesejahteraan Sosial Lanjut Usia Budi Agung Kupang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simpel random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan Mann-Whitney test, Independent t-test dan Chi-square test. Latihan Otago secara signifikan menurunkan risiko jatuh dan meningkatkan status kesehatan. Ada perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok dalam hal risiko jatuh (p= 0.041) dan status kesehatan (p= 0.011). Latihan Otago secara signifikan menurunkan risiko jatuh dan meningkatkan status kesehatan pada lansia dengan penyakit kronik."
