Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis distribusi pola polimorfisme gen LEP G-2548A pada pasien dengan dan tanpa osteoporosis. Seratus sampel terdiri dari pasien dengan osteoporosis (50 sampel) dan pasien tanpa osteoporosis (50 sampel). Polimorfisme gen LEP G-2548A dianalisis menggunakan metode PCRRFLP. Perhitungan distribusi genotip dan alel pada kedua kelompok menggunakan uji Fisher. Frekuensi alel A dan genotip AA gen LEP G-2548A pada pasien osteoporosis berisiko meningkat dibandingkan pada pasien tanpa osteoporosis. Genotip LEP G-2548A pada pasien dengan dan tanpa osteoporosis memiliki hubungan tidak berbeda bermakna (p = 0,191).
