"ABSTRAK
Indonesia area extremely vulnerable to earthquake. earthquakes have caused thousands of casualties,
destruction and damage to thousands of infrastructure, as well as trillions of rupiah of funds for
rehabilitation and reconstruction. Prevention of damage due to ground movement can be done through good
structural design and construction process. one of structural system type that is widely used in Indonesian
building houses were confined masonry system. based on seismicity experience, ductility is a very important
parameter to ensuring the safety of structure. results of this study will be used as an alternative technology
of confine masonry ductility enhancement in structural design process. research methodology was
experimental testing and numerical analysis. experiment testing was lateral cyclic full scale. analyzed
aspects of the test results were: strength, stiffness and ductility.Test specimen were three pieces, namely:
conventional model (K), strengthening horizontal model (H) and strengthening diagonal model (D). From the
results of testing and data analysis known that the performance of strength, stiffness and ductility of H model
is superior to other models."

"Nowdays in Indonesia, improper functioning of the provisions to be met by a residential building. efforts to learn about fire safety standards and regulations and their possible applications are quite necessary for high rise buildings. In this paper, a study on these two aspects are carried out. The first aspect, the method used of standards and safety regulations evacuation and compared with NFPA 101 as the reference standard. The
second aspect, the examination of building in compliance to standards and regulations. As the object of study were 9 of high-rise buildings, which consists of 3 hotels and 6 rusunami. The results showed that the evacuation safety regulations issued by public works ministry or Public Works Ministrial Regulation No
26/2008 and SNI need to be revised, concerning the technical terms and definitions referred to standard reference NFPA 101. the results of field studies show some buildings do not meet the requirements of the
evacuation. regulations and standards need to be equipped with prescriptive rules-based, for each class of
building, and the basic of performance concepts appropriate to NFPA standards, for easy and flexible in
meeting the requirements by the class of the building. fulfillment evacuation safety needs to be supported by
research-based performance"

"ABSTRAK
Growth today of slums is a challenge of urbanization. The slums characterized by limited basic housing
infrastructure, including the lack of adequate waste management infrastructure. Bandung also faces the
challenge, so that three areas are selected as representatives of slum areas as research objects. There are the
areas with three typologies of slums: Tamansari (heavy), Babakan Ciamis (medium), and Cihaurgeulis
(light). Analysis of the existing condition of waste management is done by calculating the Soil Quality Index
or Indeks Kualitas Tanah (IKT). The possibility of waste management infrastructure improvement is done by
using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which helps decision making by priorities comparison from experts
in the field of environmental management. IKT calculation results show that the worst soil quality is
Tamansari with IKT value of 18.5, the IKT of Babakan Ciamis value 47.5, and Cihaurgeulis best at IKT value
of 73.5. The analysis with AHP shows that the best waste management infrastructure for all three areas is by
providing composting unit to manage organic waste and waste bank to manage the inorganic. A respective
number of units required is 20 units for Tamansari, 8 units for Babakan Ciamis, and 11 units for Cihaurgeulis."

"ABSTRAK
The current Indonesian standard for daylighting in buildings, SNI 03-2396-2001, recommends the use of sky component from a sky as the metric for indicating indoor daylight availability. To calculate sky component as a function of the relative position (L/D and H/D) of an unglazed, vertical daylight aperture, a reference table are provided; however, the accuracy of the tabulated values are unknown. This article reports the accuracy of the provided values compared to the analytical ones. It is found that 11 from 361 provided values have relative errors of 10% or larger. Comparisons between results of some worked examples obtained from interpolating the table values and from solving the analytical expression are also reported. based on analisis that recommended to use the reference table only if the L/D and H/D ratios are within the tabulated range of 0.1 ~ 6.0. otherwise, the use of analytical expression to determine the sky component is strongly suggested. "ABSTRAK
Reliability building inspection should be done for every building according to laws and regulations. the inspection encompasses four criteria, safety, health, comfort, and convenience (4K). the assessment result should be displayed in simple way to decide a building condition. Reliable condition which covers whole criteria are difficult to be achieved due to the ability of the owner. The authors propose a model assessment of building inspection by combining two methods. Dichotomy method for assessment safety and score method for three other. this paper applies the importance or Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for implementation score method. these researchis specific a certain building function: office, mall, and hotel. the building is reliable if it have two assessment requirements: (1) needs all the safety criteria with obtain P score, and (2) score criteria health, comfort and convenience, Ss, Sn, Sm for, more bigger than 60. in average the importance for the first level is obtained 51% for the comfort criteria, followed by 29% for the health criteria, and 20% for the convenience criteria. based on the absolute score for sub criteria, the importance weight with the highest rank for office and hotel building is addressed for the comfort criteria especially for air condition in room with the weight 20% and for mall building is addressed for the comfort criteria in space area and connecting rooms with weight 20%."
