Abstrak :
Tesis ini membahas tentang Serat Samud. Teks ini termasuk karya sastra saduran Melayu, berjudul Hikayat Seribu Masail. Selain itu, teks ini termasuk dalam karya sastra Jawa berjenis suluk. Isi teks tentang beragam ajaran Islam, antara lain akhirat, surga, neraka, kiamat, dan sebagainya. Dari penelusuran naskahnya, diketahui ada 22 naskah yang membahas tentang Serat Samud yang tersebar di Indonesia dan Belanda. Dari 22 naskah tersebut, hanya satu naskah yang dijadikan teks suntingan, yaitu Naskah L (St.80). Agar teks dapat dipahami, maka disajikan juga terjemahan teksnya. ......The thesis talks about Serat Samud which is one of Malay adapted literature, (Hikayat Seribu Masail). This text is also included in suluk literature. The text discusses Islamic lesson, such as afterlife, heaven, hell, doomsday, etc. There are 22 manuscripts about Serat Samud found in Indonesia and the Netherland. One of the manuscripts, which is L (St.80), will be made into a text edition. Text translation will be applied in order to make it understandable.

Abstrak :
Mangrove is an essential natural resources and vital component for coastal areas both ecology and socio-economic. Adapted mangrove vegetarian on tsunami disaster is important information for mangrove rehabilitation post-tsunami. The aim of the research was to determine the structure and species richness of mangrove vegetation post-tsunami in Aceh and Nias Island by vegetation analyses and inventory methods. Field survey was carried out in March 2005 - three months after tsunami disaster. We found 20 adapted mangrove species post-tsunami in Nias Island, dominated by rhizophora apiculata. Land system of KJP was compound of 17 adapted mangrove species, and land system of PTG and KHY were each compound of 7 adapted mangrove species. Based on our research, we recommended that R. apiculata is the first priority species to be used for mangrove rehabilitation in Nias Island
