"Riset ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis kinerja modal intelektual perusahaan-perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Demikian juga, tujuan riset ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat keuntungan dan risiko perusahaan terhadap kinerja modal intelektual.Populasi dalam riset ini adalah 402 perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2007-2009. Dengan metode purposive sampling, riset ini menggunakan 60 sampel perusahaan perbankan. Analisis dalam riset ini menggunakan metode regresi berganda dengan tes asumsi klasik,serta menggunakan t-test untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh variabel independen terhadap kinerja modal intelektual.Hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keuntungan dan risiko perusahaan secara signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja modal intelektual. Dengan demikian, maka tingkat keuntungan yang lebih tinggi akan meningkatkan kinerja modal intelektual perusahaan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan aset tak berwujud, yakni kemampuan sumber daya manusia sangat penting untuk mencapai keberhasilan perusahaan, dan memotivasi karyawan serta manajer untuk melakukan inovasi."
