Abstrak :
This book outlines the background and overall vision for the internet of things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications and services, including major standards. Key technologies are described, and include everything from physical instrumentation of devices to the cloud infrastructures used to collect data. Also included is how to derive information and knowledge, and how to integrate it into enterprise processes, as well as system architectures and regulatory requirements. Real-world service use case studies provide the hands-on knowledge needed to successfully develop and implement M2M and IoT technologies sustainably and profitably. Finally, the future vision for M2M technologies is described, including prospective changes in relevant standards. Abstrak :
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan tentang pengembangan model penelusuran dokumen aktivitas tanya jawab mahasiswa dan tutor dalam tutor online (tuton) melalui sistem FAQ, serta menguraikan efektivitas penggunaan FAQ pada mata kuliah MPS. Seluruh dokumen tanya jawab dikumpulkan dalam aplikasi FAQ agar dapat diakses mahasiswa, baik bentuk online dalam format HTML maupun offline dalam format TXT, sehingga tutor tidak perlu menulis ulang jawaban, jika pertanyaan mahasiswa telah terdokumentasi. Prosedur pengembangan mengikuti alur Borg and Gall (1989) terdiri atas 6 langkah, yaitu: mengumpulkan informasi, menyusun perancangan produk, mengembangkan produk awal, uji awal, merevisi produk awal, dan uji lapangan. Untuk perancangan model dilakukan kolaborasi dengan dosen Jurusan Sistem Informasi Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Airlangga (Unair). Subjek penelitian adalah ahli komunikasi visual dan ahli komputer untuk pengujian produk, mahasiswa peserta tuton MPS masa registrasi 2011.2 untuk pengujian lapangan atau evaluasi model. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan ditafsirkan dengan cara narasi berdasarkan temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji coba awal produk aplikasi FAQ yang dikembangkan sudah valid dan dapat digunakan. Hasil pengujian lapangan juga menunjukkan bahwa 100% mahasiswa menyatakan sistem penelusuran dokumentasi aktivitas diskusi tanya jawab materi mata kuliah MPS mudah digunakan dan dapat dibaca secara berulang kapan saja, 96,1% menyatakan materi dokumentasi dapat membantu memahami materi modul MPS, 96% menyatakan dokumentasi jawaban mudah dipahami, 94,5% menyatakan dokumentasi tanya jawab sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian lapangan, 96,1% mahasiswa menyatakan aplikasi FAQ membantu memahami materi modul, 96,1% menyatakan dokumentasi jawaban mudah dipahami, dan 94,5% menyatakan dokumentasi tanya jawab sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, aplikasi FAQ sangat efektif membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami mata kuliah MPS dan persiapan menghadapi ujian akhir semester (UAS). Rekomendasi yang dapat ditawarkan adalah aplikasi FAQ dikembangkan untuk mata kuliah lain dan mengusulkan penggunaan secara meluas di UT, bahkan jika memungkinkan seluruh tutor disarankan untuk memanfaatkan aplikasi FAQ ketika melaksanakan tutorial online.

User interface inspection methods succinctly covers five inspection methods: heuristic evaluation, perspective-based user interface inspection, cognitive walkthrough, pluralistic walkthrough, and formal usability inspections.heuristic evaluation is perhaps the best-known inspection method, requiring a group of evaluators to review a product against a set of general principles. The perspective-based user interface inspection is based on the principle that different perspectives will find different problems in a user interface. In the related persona-based inspection, colleagues assume the roles of personas and review the product based on the needs, background, tasks, and pain points of the different personas. The cognitive walkthrough focuses on ease of learning. Most of the inspection methods do not require users; the main exception is the pluralistic walkthrough, in which a user is invited to provide feedback while members of a product team listen, observe the user, and ask questions.

Process modeling style focuses on other aspects of process modeling beyond notation that are very important to practitioners. Many people who model processes focus on the specific notation used to create their drawings. While that is important, there are many other aspects to modeling, such as naming, creating identifiers, descriptions, interfaces, patterns, and creating useful process documentation.
