"ABSTRAKJurnal ini membahas tentang persepsi mahasiswa Prodi Korea Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia tentang tata rias Korea Selatan dalam standar kecantikan Korea. Industri kecantikan Korea telah berkembang pesat dan mempunyai tren sendiri yaitu K-beauty. Industri kecantikan Korea sendiri awalnya dibangun untuk memenuhi permintaan wanita Korea yang terkenal tata riasnya di mata dunia.Tata rias Korea sendiri mempunyai ciri khas, yaitu mementingkan perawatan kulit putih-mulus dan riasan yang terlihat alami. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menggambarkan bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa Prodi Korea dalam membentuk standar cantik, mengetahui faktor apa saja yang kemudian mempengaruhi penggunaan tata rias Korea. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara terstrukur untuk mendapatkan informasi personal dari setiap informan yang merupakam mahasiswa Prodi Korea FIB UI dan berdasarkan kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata rias Korea digunakan sebagai tata rias sehari-hari karena riasan Korea terlihat alami dan standar kecantikan Korea memengaruhi standar kecantikan yang diinginkan mahasiswa Prodi Korea. Para mahasiswa juga lebih memilih menggunakan kosmetik dan mengikuti tren riasan Korea karena selera mereka telah mengacu pada hallyu.

ABSTRACTThis journal will discuss about the perception from female students of the Faculty of Cultural Science in the Universitas Indonesia regarding South Korean cosmetics in the Korean beauty standars. The Korean beauty industry has grown rapidly and has its own trend of K beauty. The Korean beauty industry itself was originally built to meet the demand of Korean women famous for their make up in the eyes of the world. Korean make up itsef has a distinctive characteristic, emphasizing white care and natural looking make up. The objective of the study was to describe how the Korean students perception in establishing the beauty standard, knowing what factors influenced the use of Korean make up. This research applies qualitative method by doing the structured interview to get personal information from every informant who is student of Korean studies FIB UI and based on literatur review. The study found tha Korean make up is used as cosmetology everyday because Korean make up looks natural and Korean beauty standads affect the beauty standards that students of Koreans studies want. The female students also prefer to cosmetics and follow the trend of Korean make up because their tastes have been referring to hallyu."

Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan penulis menggunakan metode wawancara yang dilengkapi dengan studi pustaka, serta berdasarkan dari studi terdahulu yang dilakukan oleh Anna Schmidt berjudul Hallyu and The Rise of Korean Cosmetics in China 2016 , Hallyu terbukti memiliki pengaruh terhadap pemakaian produk kosmetik Korea Etude House di Universitas Indonesia

ABSTRACTThis paper describes about the research that author did about the relathionship of Hallyu and the use of Korean cosmetic products in Indonesia. The author examines the effect of Hallyu on the use of Korean cosmetic products Etude House in University of Indonesia. Based on the research conducted by the author using interview method and literature study, and based on a previous research conducted by Anna Schmidt which titled Halyu and The Rise of Korean Cosmetics in China 2016 , it is proven that Hallyu is influencing the use of Korean cosmetic products Etude House in University of Indonesia."
