Abstrak :
The use of intersectionality theory in the social sciences has proliferated in the past several years, putting forward the argument that the interconnected identities of individuals, and the way these identities are perceived and responded to by others, must be a necessary part of any analysis. Fundamentally, intersectionality claims that not only are people s lived experiences affected by their racial identity and by their gender identity, but that these identities, and others, continually operate together and affect each other. With "official" statistical data that indicate people of Color have higher offending and victimization rates than White people, and with the overrepresentation of men and people of Color in the criminal legal system, new theories are required that address these phenomena and that are devoid of stereotypical or debasing underpinnings. Intersectionality and criminology provides a comprehensive review of the need for, and use of, intersectionality in the study of crime, criminality, and the criminal legal system.

As cultural criminology suggested, in this era of late modernity, media plays a huge part in an ongoing cultural construction regarding images and meaning of punishment which supported punitive attitudes. One of more prominent media that takes part in the construction process are the animated cerita rakyat which can be accessed through YouTube. These animation adopt traditional stories, or folklores, in Indonesia and are disseminated through video sharing websites and social medias. Using ethnographic content analysis method, this article attempts to uncover the meaning and images regarding punishment which are shown in the animation of cerita rakyat. Result shows punishment are constructed as protection which are needed against the evil characters and as a way to give out retribution for their actions. Those images supported punishment as a favorable response to crime and further fostered by its depiction of nature of evil as personal choice and its emphasis on portraying the vulnerability of victims. All in all, these stories are part of cultural reference that society can draw forth for their punitive attitude toward crime and deviance.

Helsinki MoU is an agreement between the Government of The Republic of Indonesia and The Free Aceh Movement GAM as the solution of long term conflict in Aceh in peaceful, whole, and sustainable. Implementation of the points of MoU becomes instrument for keeping the long term positive peace in Aceh. The government and the Ex GAM Combatant become important actors in the implementation, because some the MoU points directly target the welfare of Ex GAM Combatants. Using qualitative approach, this undergraduate thesis will explain how implementation of Helsinki MoU repairs the welfare of Ex GAM Combatants post conflict. This undergraduate thesis uses a welfare criminology approach that is supported by Richard Quinney's peacemaking criminology to analyze how far the implementation of Helsinki MoU takes role as the keeper of peace in Aceh, and as an indicator to measure the Government's seriousness in fulfilling social welfare for Ex GAM combatants, and to explain the problems in implementating the MoU until now.

Abstrak :
This book searches for answers to these questions in the nature of the city, particularly in the social interactions that take place in urban space distinctively guided by different land uses and people?s activities. In other words, the book deals with the urban fabric of crime and fear. The novelty of the book is to place safety and security issues on the urban scale by (1) showing links between urban structure, and crime and fear, (2) illustrating how different disciplines deal with urban vulnerability to (and fear of) crime (3) including concrete examples of issues and challenges found in European and North American cities, and, without being too extensive, also in cities of the Global South.
