"Skripsi ini mengkaji lima metode pseudostatik yang berbeda untuk dinding tanah bergeosintetik, metode I (Mononobe-Okabe (MO)), metode II (J.Koseki, F.Tatsuoka; Y.Munaf; M.Tateyama; K.Kojima), metode III (R.J. Bathurst dan Z. Cai), metode IV (B.Munwar Basha, P.K. Basudhar), dan metode V (H. I. Ling, D. Leshchinsky dan E.B. Perry).

The focus of this study is aimed to analyze five pseudostatic methods for reinforced soil retaining wall, namely Mononobe-Okabe (MO) method (method I), R.J. Bathurst dan Z. Cai method (method II), J.Koseki, F.Tatsuoka; Y.Munaf; M.Tateyama; K.Kojima method (method III), B.Munwar Basha, P.K. Basudhar method (mehod IV) and H. I. Ling, D. Leshchinsky and E.B. Perry method (method V). By identifying parameter used on each method and applied value on two cases, Pae for each method has the same result in case I. The difference begins in case II, as q is being considered. Method III through method V are used for geosynthetic strength. The result shows different results both for each case, and layer. As compound failure is being considered for method V, soil mass along geosynthethic L/H apparently influenced geosynthethic strength."

"This book demonstrates the implementation of an automated measuring system for very efficient measurement of chromatic dispersion, which uses a modulation phase shift method over long haul of optical single mode fiber. The authors show how a new scheme for measuring chromatic dispersion is adopted in conjunction with a tunable laser (TLS), providing the optical power at required wavelength and digital oscilloscope (DOSC) for measuring the phase difference between microwave signals from transmitter and microwave signals at the receiver. This is a novel approach for real-time chromatic dispersion in optical systems such as optical fibers. The setup used is very simple, accurate and cost effective, compared to other methods such as direct measurement, differential mode delay, polarization mode dispersion measurement and phase delay method. "Series-parallel conversion systems, in which multiple standardized converter modules are connected in series or parallel at the input and output sides, to meet the demands of various applications. This book focuses on the control strategies for the series-parallel conversion systems with DC-DC converters and DC-AC inverters as the basic modules, respectively, to achieve input voltage/current sharing and output voltage/current sharing among the constituent modules. The detailed theoretical analysis with design examples and experimental validations are presented. This book is essential and valuable reference for graduate students and academics majoring in power electronics and engineers engaged in developing DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters and power electronics transformers."

"This book describes for readers the protection of electronic hardware in space vehicles from the negative effects of space dust and electromagnetic irradiation. The authors explain the mechanisms of space dust (high velocity particles in space), the effects on the on-board electronic hardware of space vehicles, and development of protection methods from these influences on humans, equipment and microcircuits. Coverage includes hard-to-find technical information on the design of special boosters for accelerating microparticles to space velocities, techniques for conducting experiments on Earth, data processing, and practical examples. The authors also discuss fabrication technologies and composition of special, radio absorbent materials for protecting space vehicles from the electromagnetic irradiation.
Provides a single-source reference on the effects on space vehicles of space dust and electromagnetic irradiation;
Discusses the design of special boosters for acceleration of micro-particles to space velocities, for experimentation and testing on Earth;
Includes information about fabrication technologies and composition of special, radio absorbent materials for protecting space vehicles from the electromagnetic irradiation."

"This book provides readers with a broad overview of integrated circuits, also generally referred to as micro-electronics. The presentation is designed to be accessible to readers with limited, technical knowledge and coverage includes key aspects of integrated circuit design, implementation, fabrication and application. The author complements his discussion with a large number of diagrams and photographs, in order to reinforce the explanations. The book is divided into two parts, the first of which is specifically developed for people with almost no or little technical knowledge. It presents an overview of the electronic evolution and discusses the similarity between a chip floor plan and a city plan, using metaphors to help explain concepts. It includes a summary of the chip development cycle, some basic definitions and a variety of applications that use integrated circuits. The second part digs deeper into the details and is perfectly suited for professionals working in one of the semiconductor disciplines who want to broaden their semiconductor horizon."
