Abstrak :
Pemilihan lokasi lahan strategis misalnya bangunan untuk perdagangan merupakan hal yang sangat penting karena letaknya yang strategis sangat mempengaruhi kegiatan bisnis sehari-hari terutama harapan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan. Pemilihan lokasi ini dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan sistim yang memakai data geografi di daerah bersangkutan, dan sistim itu biasanya dikenal dengan Sistim Informasi Geografi, disingkat SIG. Dalam penelitian ini, selain dibuat perangkat lunak untuk SIG ini, dilakukan pula penerapannya untuk menentukan lokasi yang cocok buat sebuah toko serba-ada atau supermarket, di kawasan Jakarta bagian Utara. Data yang dipakai untuk keperluan penelitian ini adalahdata yang diambil oleh satelit SPOT, kemudian digabungkan dengan data peta yang dikeluarkan oleh Dinas Tata Kota Daerah Khusus Ibukota (DKI), Jakarta. Perangkat lunak yang dibuat dinamakan GisPro, serta dapat dijalankan pada komputer pribadi IBM/PC-AT jenis 286 keatas dengan monitor VGA, serta sebuah mouse. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pemerosesan kemudian dibandingkan dengan data lapangan, sehingga keputusan yang diambil dapat lebih realistis. Sistim ini adalah salah satu aplikasi pengolahan citra dijital, dan sangat penting untuk membantu dalam perencanaan serta pengembangan wilayah sesuai perencanaan berjangka instansi pemerintahan.
A strategic site location, for example, business building is one of the most important problem, because its strategic location will influence daily bossiness activities., especially to increase transaction volumes and benefits. The site location can be selected by using its corresponding geographical data, which called Geographic Information system or GIS, in combination with remotely sensed data, such as satellite images. This system is one of the applications of digital image processing and it is very useful to help and support decision makers in planning and regional development, according to government planning. In this research, it is designed a GIS software, called GisPro, then apply it to select a suitable location for a supermarket, in the northern part of Jakarta area. The data, which will be used for the purpose of this research, is SPOT satellite image, to be integrated with map data, issued by Board of City Planning or Dinas Tata Kota DKI Jakarta. Result of processing then to be compared with the field data, therefore a proper decision can be made realistically. It is found that the result is quite acceptable, although the processing is done by using microcomputer.

Abstrak :
The rapid development of applied geomorphology is rooted in the improved scientific concepts and research methodologies. Three main fields of application can be distinguished: a) environmental studies, either related to a specific aspect (e.g. soils) or to the environment as a whole. b) Studies on Human Impact on Environment, either diffuse and possibly mild or concentrated and usually violent. C) Studies on Environmental Hazards for society, either of dogenous or exogenous origin but often related to human action. The time scale of of the studies decreases in this order. Emphasis is in varying degree on all major aspects of geomorphology such as relief forms, active, and dormant processes, materials, morphogenesis, and on interdisciplinary relations. In all cases the actuo context, the human context have to be considered in one way or another. The survey methodology and the use of (satellite) remote sensing and geographical information system (GIS) varies with the subject. The examples given relate to an escarpment in Thailand, the lowlands along the north coast of Java (Indonesia) and the mountainous areas of the Colombian Andes respectively

Abstrak :
Geographic Information System (GIS) is used in erosion hazard mapping in the area of Kokap River Basin, Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. The erosion hazard is estimated from the parameters indicating rainfall erosivity, slope length and slope steepness, soil erodibility, crop cover, and land management using USLE and erosion plot observation. The erosion hazard factors were directly observed in the field and through laboratory tests of soil samples originating from each mapping unit. The dilineation of mapping unit is based on landform, slope class, and landuse type differences. Four landforms are delineated, i.e. colluvial footslope, dissected hills and mountainous which are developed on andesite intrusive rocks, and dissected mountain formed on andesitic breccias. Using the USLE, the units which are densely by covered vegetation are characterized by erosion hazard which varies from low to moderate class, while the units are covered by mixed gardens and dryfield are indicated by moderate to high class. Depending on the erosion plot observation, the study area is characterised by erosion hazard which varies from every low to very high class.

the increasing of dengue fever disease cases has taken a lot of victims. along with the rains, epidemic, which is infected by Aedes aegypti mosquito, expand massively in Indonesia. data in public health department Bandung mention amount of dengue fever cases since January 2004 until April 2004 have reached 2283 case with 18 cases pass away. there is special guidance for society, elite figure, health worker, and the related sector in order to prevent andlimit the spreading of dengue fever disease. however, until today the effort has not been reduced infection number. activity to prevent and eradicate of dengue fever disease ought to be supported by powerful information system in order to control and manage dengue fever disease case effectively. when infectious disease happened, traditionally, sureilans epidemiology mark petients location on the paper map, and store patients data base in computer. but this method cannot build the link between patients data base with spatial data. therefore, at this research will be developed a new method by using information system which base on both textual and geographical reference. with this design implementation the improvement in detection speed, management and control from infectious of dengue fever disease faster in the next period so that easier to consider specific precaution. this geographical information system also serve the purpose of the appliance assist to prevent the movement of disease to environmet through buffering meachanism. to facilitate related party obtain information, this application provide information which can be accessed through base on web intranet.
