"Untuk menjaga kelancaran kegiatan produksi industri diperlukan sistem proteksi yang memenuhi persyaratan keandalan, selektifitas, sensitifitas dan kecepatan. Semua persyaratan ini bergantung kepada pengaturan peralatan proteksi. Pada skripsi ini penulis menguji kehandalan sistem serta pengaturan rele proteksi pada panel MVMDB C2 Plant PT. Asahimas menggunakan program ETAP dan MELSHORT. Dari hasil simulasi, didapatkan hasil tegangan jatuh terbesar pada LV C2-6 yaitu 95,29%. Analisa hubung singkat pada Trafo TR-4 dengan hasil sebesar 63,3 kA. Lalu ketika disimulasikan gangguan hubung singkat tiga fasa sebesar 0,754 kA, rele arus lebih outgoing C2F4 bekerja selektif dengan waktu trip sebesar 443 ms.

To maintain the running of industrial production, protection system that meets the requirements of reliability, selectivity, sensitivity and speed is needed. All of these depend on the settings of the protective equipment. In this thesis, the authors test the reliability and the protection relay settings on the MVMDB of C2 Plant PT. Asahimas using the ETAP and MELSHORT. From simulation, voltage drop was found with the largest on LV C2-6 with 95.29%. Short circuit analysis on Transformer TR-4 with 63,3 kA. When 0.754 kA short circuit three phase fault occurs, C2F4 overcurrent relay works selectively with 443 ms trip time."
