Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Indonesian Researchers: Case Study in Program Riset Unggulan Terpadu I-VIIThis research is carried out to study the degrees and pattern of multi and interdisciplinary collaboration research in Program Riset Unggulan Terpadu I-VII. Multidisciplinarity Index and Interdisciplinarity Index measure the multi- and interdisciplinarity collaboration research. The patterns of collaboration research are visualized by the molecular graph based on those indexes.
This investigation uses 781 Riset Unggulan Terpadu documents. Co-author analyses based on researcher discipline specialization dan researcher discipline affiliation are used as a bibliometrics approach to measuring interdisciplinary collaboration in this Program.
Results of this research show that (1) Collaboration among researchers with different discipline specialization and different discipline affiliation happen in half of entire researches (2) Researchers and institutions with science and technology background involved in most of researches in Program Riset Unggulan Terpadu I-VII (3) Engineering dominates in most of research Fields.

"This volume covers the most important contributions to and discussions at the international symposium Migrations: interdisciplinary perspectives (1-3, July, University of Vienna), organised by Renée Schroeder and Ruth Wodak which was dedicated to the multiple interdisciplinary dimensions of ?migrations?, both from the viewpoints of the social sciences and humanities as well as from the manifold perspectives of the natural sciences. The book is organized along the following dimensions : (1) urban development and migration, (2) peer relations in immigrant adolescents : methodological challenges and key findings, (3) migration, identity, and belonging, (4) migration in/and ego documents, (5) debating migration, (6) fundamentals of diffusion and spread in the natural sciences and beyond, (7) media representations of migrants and migration, and (8) migration and the genes."

"From generation to generation over the centuries, people in all parts of the world have developed adaptive social-cultural institutions and strategies of natural resource management based on the intimate relationship they had with their environment. At present, recent global warming is threatening people’s lives. Unfortunately, climate change is a natural phenomenon which is neither easy to observe, nor to predict and anticipate accurately. In many places, local people can no longer rely on earlier experiences and existing socio-cultural institutions to adjust to unprecedented changes. We are in urgent need of specific efforts to re-interpret and enrich our knowledge of this natural phenomenon. However, this is not an easy thing to do. People from all kinds of levels and entities in society are simultaneously the cause and the victims of global warming. The problem becomes even more complicated because of various mutually-affecting dimensions like ethics, politics, power, economics, and justice. These are the ultimate challenges scholars of the social sciences and humanities need to address seriously everywhere in the world, including in Indonesia. This article addresses the arguments of what scholars in the social sciences and humanities could and should do in response to climate change. Promoting a new paradigm and ethics in dealing with climate change is urgent and improvements in approaches and research methodologies are necessary. Learning from experiences gained from the way farmers in Java respond to climate change, the author argues that interdisciplinary research across social and natural sciences, and collaborative work with target groups is a promising and significant step (although scholars will have to face many challenges and constraints)."
