"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai Kaesong Industrial Complex KIC yang berada di Kota Kaesong, Korea Utara. Kompleks industri ini merupakan salah satu proyek kerjasama ekonomi Pemerintah Korea Selatan dan Korea Utara. Dalam pelaksanaannya, KIC membawa banyak dampak bagi kedua Korea di berbagai bidang seperti ekonomi, politik, keamanan, dan kemasyarakatan. Dampak yang dihasilkan KIC tersebut dapat membawa perdamaian dan membuka jalan untuk mencapai proses reunifikasi di Semenanjung Korea. Akan tetapi, KIC juga mengalami banyak rintangan yang menghambat pengoperasian kompleks industri tersebut. Skripsi ini menjabarkan perwujudan KIC sebagai simbol perdamaian dan reunifikasi di Semenanjung Korea beserta kontroversi dan penutupan kompleks tersebut dengan menggunakan metode sejarah.

This study's main focus is Kaesong Industrial Complex KIC that is located in Kaesong City, North Korea. The industrial complex is one of the joint economic cooperation projects between South Korea and North Korea. In the operation, KIC brings many effects to both countries in various fields such as economic, politic, security, and humanities. The effects of the complex could bring peace and opening the path for reunification process in the Korean Peninsula. However, KIC faces many obstacles that hinders the operation of the industrial complex. This study explains the depiction of KIC as a peace and reunification symbol in Korean Peninsula, along with the controversies and the closing of the complex based on historical methods."
