This thesis discusses the resurgence and transformation in the struggle of the lesbian feminists in the United States of America during 1990s. The aim of this thesis is to understand the nature and the goals of the struggle itself since 1960s. This thesis takes `the patterning of social movement' from Warner E. Gettys and the principle of multiculturalism as the theoretical framework of this thesis to analyze the form or pattern of the resurgence and transformation in the struggle of the lesbian feminists in the United States during 1990s. This thesis uses a qualitative approach as its methodology and a library research through historical analysis as its method to find the patterns of the struggle of the lesbian feminists in the United States of America during 1990s. The result of this thesis is that the struggle of the lesbian feminists in the United States during 1990s constitutes the resurgence and transformation of the struggle of the lesbian feminists in the previous years. The resurgence itself becomes a reason for the lesbian feminists to transform the form of their struggle, i.e. from social separatist movement into practical-political movement. The resurgence and transformation becomes the medium for the lesbian feminists to be institutionalized and get legitimacy from the American society. The success of the lesbian feminists through Tammy Baldwin's win in the process of the 1998 congressional election gives a new power map in the American political system, especially in the US Congress. The success of the lesbian feminists in their struggle cannot be apart from multiculturalism that shelters the lives of the Americans, i.e. equality in difference and difference in equality.

ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on the experience of women across generation living and interpreting love as part of their lives. Their experiences in living an interpreting love will be seen in two points, their romantic relationship and marriage or family institution. Based on the data of six subjects of research with different backgrounds like age, marital status and sexual orientation, showed that they have different perspective on love and marriage or family institution compare to mainstream society. They assume and believe love or romantic relationship has close relation with patriarchal cultural values, like mens domination, subordination and ownership if we agreed with mainstream societys thought on love. They also believe that marriage is an institution where patriarchys cultural values is produced there and will disadvantage women if the marriage is not built on equal and just relation. These six subjects of research agree with grand feminism narrative that love supposed to be not always related with ownership, mens domination and must be liberating women as an independence and autonomous person.

This paper explains what love is by referring to the philosophical thoughts of some philosophers and the results of empirical research that have been done on the phenomena of love. Here also discussed the tendency to extend love on one side, narrowing and even negating love on the other. This paper takes the position that love as an existential project. Philosophically, love is seen as a continuing search for truth. As the fruit of the will and the sincerity of human endeavor, love has real and concrete results. In its concrete form, love is the embodiment of a common promise into reality a step by step process presents a concrete manifestation of the statements contained in the promise. This philosophical thought is corroborated by empirical studies of love that love differs from sexual passion or lust. Love can last long, eternal and stay intense through the couples efforts to care for each other, nurture and develop each other.

ABSTRACT
Even after the rise of Indonesian feminist film directors by the likes of Nia Dinata, Mira Lesmana, Mouly Surya, Nan T Achnas and Lola Amaria, the Indonesian moviegoers still flocked into badly written teenage romance dramas. This paper interrogates the way romance and femininities have been shaped within the cinematic representation in London Love Story 2, Promise and Dear Nathan. It is concluded that the Indonesian romance teenage dramas are entrenched with masculine power and dominance spectacles in which the feminine heroines have been treated as passive objects of desire whose agency and subjectivities are being stripped away. Using feminist literature on post feminist romance cinema, the heroines in these films have mostly been constructed as independent, smart and seemingly agentive at first, but nevertheless pursued romantic, traditional, heterosexual relationships saturated with masculine control and dominance. This paper shows that post feminist popular culture has transpired globally and morphed into transnational post feminism that influenced the production and consumption of such text in Indonesia.

ABSTRACT
This essay presents a theoretical discussion, analysis, and formulation to reconfigure new meanings, potentialities, and multiplicities of homosexual relationships. After a brief discussion on the rapid popularisation of marriage equality as the primary goal of queer movements, an overview of queer critique of marriage is provided. Attention given to the notion of homo normativity and the sharp criticism from queer negativity/queer anti social. For these critiques, subjects are encouraged to occupy the abject position, which I argue, only further depoliticise queer politics. After a critical overview of this political stance, I offer Foucault and Deleuze accounts to explore multiple forms of relationships beyond marital institution, focusing on the ways in which relationships are to be understood as in terms of potentialities, intensities, and emergent forms and functions beyond the existing language capacities and formalised forms. This essay should, however, not situated as masterly or prescriptive, but rather a modest effort to spur more critical concerns, discussions, and debates among queer Indonesians.
