"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai arrest of vessel dalam Hukum Indonesia, dengan metode perbandingan hukum terhadap Hukum Belanda dan Hukum Federal Amerika Serikat. Arrest of vessel belum dikenal dalam Sistem Hukum Indonesia padahal tuntutan untuk pengembangan Maritime Law dengan banyaknya kapal Indonesia (asas cabotage) dan keadaan geografi Indonesia, pengaturan arrest of vessel diperlukan, Indonesia masih membebani proses eksekusi Hipotik Kapal Laut dengan sita jaminan yang waktu dan kejelasan akan menjadi dipertanyakan. Pembanding dengan Hukum Belanda dan Hukum Federal Amerika Serikat terkait karakteristik pengaturannya yang sengaja dikronologikan sedemikian rupa oleh penulis untuk melihat hukum acara sekaligus proses pembebanan arrest of vessel.

The focus of this study is to analyze the problems of the execution process on ship's mortgage in Indonesian law with the method of comparative law to the Law of the Netherlands and the United States Federal Law. A comparison with Dutch law and US Federal Laws related characteristics are deliberately setting dikronologikan such a way by the authors to see the event as well as the legal arrest of vessel loading process."
