ABSTRACT
Many developing countries that have achieved rapid development in last half a century locate in East Asia. Wave of development that began from Japan was soon followed by other East Asian countries, who all grew rapidly between 1965 and 1990 when compared to other regions. In the end, the economic development style from East Asian countries is often named ?East Asian Miracle?. It was found that there are common characteristics within the efforts of improving economic development from East Asian countries. Economic development of East Asian countries were frequently characterized by industrialization which evoked the concept of developmental state. Even so, each East Asian country had different economic development plan with different purposes from each other. Such difference resulted to differing fates for East Asian countries after the financial crisis. As a result, economic development policy, state role, and government system became the main elements to be discussed in the different characteristics of development models of East Asia.

""Definitive scholarly edition of the York Plays. It supersedes this editor's previous edition (of the text only), published in the York Medieval Texts Series in 1982. Volume 2 offers an entirely new, full commentary and glossary to facilitate study of the revised and corrected text (published with an introduction in volume 1), and incorporating the most recent scholarly views and discoveries. The York Plays, a cycle of religious dramas on Biblical subjects, ranging from the Creation through the life and Passion of Christ, to the Last Judgement, are one of the great literary and theatrical monuments of the later Middle Ages in English. They were financed by merchants and master craftsmen and their guilds, and expressed not only the essential theological land devotional beliefs of their time, but also the wealth, prestige, and economic vitality of medieval York."-- Publisher description"
