"Artikel ini membahas isu identitas gender yang terdapat dalam salah satu lagu prancis berjudul Les Garçons Portent du Rose. Lagu ini diciptakan oleh grup musik asal Prancis yang bernama Madame Kay. Korpus data yang digunakan dalam analisis ini adalah lirik yang terdapat dalam lagu Les Garçons Portent du Rose. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa laki-laki bebas untuk memilih identitas gendernya, baik identitas gender maskulin maupun feminin, tanpa perlu takut dengan stereotip dan norma yang ada di masyarakat. Identitas gender seseorang tidak ditentukan oleh jenis kelaminnya. Meskipun seorang laki-laki memilih identitas gender yang tidak sesuai dengan jenis kelaminnya, namun perbedaan tersebut bukan menjadi suatu masalah.

This article analyzes the gender identity issue, which was comprised within one of the french song entitled Les Garçons Portent du Rose. This song was written by a French-based music group named Madame Kay. The data used in this analyzis is the lyrics of the song Les Garçons Portent du Rose itself. As the result, this research indicates that man is free to choose his gender identity; either it is masculine or feminine. He does not need to fear of being judged for defying the society stereotypes and norms. The gender identity is not particularly determined by the sex. Although a man might choose a gender identity opposite to his sex, it would not be an Issue."
