Penelitian ini menjelaskan rutinitas produksi berita di tengah tren otomatisasi dan implikasinya di ruang redaksi. Untuk melihat implikasi otomatisasi, penelitian ini membandingkan produksi berita pertandingan sepak bola dan pergerakan saham di Lokadata.id yang menggunakan sistem otomatisasi dan Bisnis.com yang tidak menggunakan otomatisasi. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Unit analisis penelitian ialah unit organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Lokadata.id dan Bisnis.com memiliki rutinitas produksi berita yang berbeda sebagai adaptasi organisasi atas respons perubahan industri media di tengah tren otomatisasi. Implikasi efisiensi dari otomatisasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi substitusi sumber daya manusia di redaksi karena peran redaksi masih dibutuhkan pada praproduksi, pascaproduksi, dan penarikan data wawancara; pemilihan sumber berita pada set data statistik di otomatisasi menghasilkan berita yang tidak lengkap dibandingkan media yang tidak menggunakan sistem otomatisasi; dan kecepatan produksi berita lebih ringkas pada media yang tidak menggunakan sistem otomatisasi. ......This research explains that the routines of news production amidst the trend of automation and its implications in the newsroom. Thus, this research compares the production of football match news and stock movements at Lokadata.id which uses an automation system and Bisnis.com which does not use automation. This research uses qualitative approach. The research analysis unit is an organizational unit. The result show that Lokadata.id and Bisnis.com have different news production routines as an adaptation strategy of the organization in response to the changing media industry amidst the trend of automation. The efficiency implications of automation shows that there are no substitution of human resources in the editorial teams, because the editorial role is still needed in pre-production, post-producation, and interview data collection; selection of news sources in statistical data sets in automation results in incomplete news compared to media that do not use automation; and the speed of news production is more concise in media that do not use automation.
