Stres kerja adalah respons disebabkan oleh ketidakseimbangan antara tuntutan yang dirasakan dan sumber daya yang dimiliki dengan kemampuan individu untuk mengatasi tuntutan-tuntutan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan adanya stres kerja pada pekerja hulu minyak bumi di Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore Southeast Sumatra dan faktor-faktor terkait stres kerja. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti adalah faktor individu (usia, status pernikahan, tingkat pendidikan, dan penilaian diri), faktor pekerjaan (unit kerja, status kepegawaian, masa kerja, jadwal kerja, dukungan sosial, konflik interpersonal, tuntutan pekerjaan, dan beban kerja), dan faktor lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross-sectional dengan instrumen kuesioner. 68 pekerja berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 52,9% responden mengalami stres kerja. Ditemukan pula hubungan antara area kerja dengan stres kerja, dan hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan stres kerja.

ABSTRACT
Occupational stress is response caused by an imbalance between perceived demands and available resources with individual abilities to cope with those demands. The aim of this study is to explain an occupational stress condition within upstream oil workers in Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore Southeast Sumatra. Observed factors are individual factors (age, marriage status, education level, and self-assessment), occupational factors (work unit, employment status, work period, work schedule, social support, workplace conflict, job demand, and workload), and environmental factors. This is a cross-sectional study using self-reported questionnaires as an instrument. 68 workers participated in this study. The result of this study reports that 52,9% of respondents experience occupational stress. The result also shows a relationship between work unit and occupational stress, and relationship between social support and occupational stress."

Latar belakang

Staf manajerial merupakan aset krusial sebuah Perusahaan karena peranannya dalam memimpin, mengatur, merencanakan dan mengelola sumber daya guna mencapai tujuan Perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, staf manajerial diharapkan sehat baik secara fisik, mental dan sosial.

 

Tujuan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan stres kerja berat dengan kecenderungan gangguan mental emosional pada staf manajerial.

 

Metode

Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga Mei 2016 di Perusahaan Penanaman Modal Asing di Jawa Barat menggunakan metode comparative cross sectional. Stres kerja diukur dengan kuesioner Suvei Diagnosis Stres (SDS) sedangkan kecenderungan gangguan mental emosional dinilai dengan kuesioner Symptom Check List 90 (SCL 90). Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini adalah 105 orang yang terlebih dahulu diminta mengisi kuesioner stres kerja. Kemudian untuk menilai kecenderungan gangguan mental emosional, sebanyak 30 responden dipilih secara acak dari masing-masing kelompok stres kerja ringan-sedang dan stres kerja berat dan diminta mengisi kuesioner SCL-90.

 

Hasil

Prevalensi stres kerja berat pada karyawan manajerial adalah sebesar 35,2%. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara stres kerja berat dengan kecenderungan gangguan mental emosional (OR 47; 95% CI 7,37-300,17; p<0,001). Komponen stresor kerja yang memiliki hubungan bermakna dengan gangguan mental emosional adalah beban kerja kualitatif (OR 10,67; 95%CI 1,03–109,94; p 0,047) dan perkembangan karir (OR 10,83; 95%CI 1,03–114,15; p 0,047). Pendidikan merupakan faktor individu yang memiliki hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik terhadap kecenderungan gangguan mental emosional (OR 0,17; 95% CI 0,03-0,83; p 0,029). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara faktor pekerjaan terhadap terjadinya kecenderungan gangguan mental emosional.

Background

Managerial staff are a crucial asset for their role in lead, organize, plan and manage resources to achieve the Company's objectives. Therefore, managerial staff are expected to be healthy physically, mentally and socially.

 

Objective

This study aims to determine the relationship of severe occupational stress with mental emotional disorder tendency among managerial staff.

 

Method

This study used a comparative cross-sectional design. The aim of this study is to assess the risk of mental emotional disorder tendency in both group with mild-moderate and severe occupational stress. Based on the sample calculation, required respondents from each group are 30 people. Previously, a descriptive study was conducted to sort the respondents into mild-moderate and severe occupational stress. A total of 105 respondents were randomly selected from the total population of 220 people. Respondents were asked to do self-rating survey with SDS (Stress Diagnostic Survey) questionnaire which assess the occupational stress. Furthermore, 30 respondents were randomly selected from each group of mild-moderate and severe occupational stress to assess the tendency of mental emotional disorder. Symptoms Check List 90 (SCL-90) questionnaire was used to measure the tendency of mental emotional disorders.

 

Result

The prevalence of severe occupational stress on managerial staff is 35.2%. There was a significant association between severe occupational stress with the tendency of mental emotional disorder (OR 47; 95% CI 7.37-300.17; p <0.001). Components of occupational stressors which statistically significant with mental emotional disorder is the qualitative workload (OR 10.67; 95% CI 1.03-109.94; p 0.047) and career development (OR 10.83; 95% CI 1.03 -114.15; p 0.047). Education is the individual factor statistically significant against the tendency of mental emotional disorder (OR 0.17; 95% CI 0.03 to 0.83; p 0.029). There was no significant relationship between work factors with the tendency of mental emotional disorder.

"Diketahui bahwa vaksinasi COVID-19 menurunkan angka kesakitan dan kematian, dan penurunan insiden dari infeksi SARS CoV-2 yang bergejala, namun fenomena yang ditemukan di berbagai negara adalah masih ditemukan infeksi SARS CoV-2 pada perawat yang telah divaksin walau dalam skala kecil. Perlindungan yang ditimbulkan oleh vaksinasi ini, dimediasi melalui interaksi yang kompleks antara imunitas bawaan, humoral, dan imunitas seluler karena itu kekebalan yang dibentuk pun sangat bervariasi dari individu satu ke yang lainnya dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Penelitian sebelumnya menyatakan stres menjadi salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan respon imun pada individu yang mendapatkan vaksinasi Pneumococcal Pneumoniae (p<0,03), Influenza (p =0,02) dan Hepatitis B (p <0.001). Stres kerja terus meningkat dan konstan diantara perawat pada kondisi pandemi COVID-19 dan angka kejadian COVID-19 didapat meningkat pada perawat dengan stres kerja (p<0,001). Stres kerja dapat memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian infeksi COVID-19 pada perawat yang telah mendapatkan vaksinasi COVID-19 lengkap.
Tujuan : Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kejadian infeksi Sars- CoV-2 diantara perawat yang telah mendapatkan vaksin COVID-19 lengkap
Metode penelitian : Penelitian menggunakan metode cross-sectional dengan kuesioner daring, terdiri dari kuesioner data diri, faktor komorbid, data okupasi, dan kuesioner ENSS yang terdiri dari 5 skala likert. Analisis univariat dilakukan untuk seluruh variabel, dan analisis bivariat dilakukan untuk menentukan variabel bebas mana yang paling berpengaruh.
Hasil : Faktor stres kerja adalah faktor determinan untuk kejadian Infeksi Sars-CoV-2 pada populasi perawat yang telah mendapatkan vaksinasi lengkap (OR = 1,5, 95% CI = 1,3 - 1,8; p <0,001fs). Faktor individu dan faktor lain dari pekerjaan, tidak ada yang menjadi faktor determinan terhadap kejadian infeksi Sars CoV-2 di antara perawat yang telah mendapatkan vaksinasi COVID-19 lengkap.

Introduction. During this pandemic era, nurses experienced a higher level of occupational stress and high exposure to COVID viruses at their workplace. This occupational stress could reduce their immune response, so they are more susceptible to COVID infection. This study aimed to understand the association between occupational stress and the incidence of COVID infection among completely vaccinated nurses (breakthrough infection).
Method. This was a cross-sectional study in which 161 nurses at the main referral hospital for COVID-19 in Pekanbaru were involved. We compare the incidence of breakthrough infections among nurses with high occupational stress and low occupational stress using the Extended Nursing Stress Scale (ENSS) questionnaire which were taken during February to April 2022. We also analyzed the individual and other occupational factors with the incidence of COVID breakthrough infections. Analysis was performed using fisher’s exact and chi-square bivariate analysis.
Results. A total of 17.4 % COVID-19 breakthrough infection was occurred in this study. Overall ENSS mean score is 58.39 (±30.56). About 49.7% of respondents with high occupational stress and the rest were low level. We found that high occupational stress is significantly associated with breakthrough infections (OR = 1.5; 95% CI : 1.3-1.8 p<0.001) among nurses. Individual factors such as age, gender, nutritional status, and marital status, as well as occupational-related factors, such as night shift and working unit, have no association with the breakthrough infection (p>0.05).
Conclusion. Occupational stress becomes the main contributor to infection among nurses who have been completely vaccinated. Thus, stress management is important to be enacted within the hospital to mitigate COVID infections on top of mandatory vaccination among healthcare workers. Future studies are needed to establish a robust connection between occupational stress in post-vaccinated nurses, particularly through thorough quantitative titer antibody assessment and prospective study method.

"Skripsi ini membahas gambaran faktor psikososial dan gejala stres kerja pada karyawan kantor proyek pembangunan X. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi pekerja terhadap faktor psikososial konteks dan konten pekerjaan serta mengetahui gejala stres kerja yang dikeluhkan karyawan. Variabel dependen penelitian adalah gejala stres kerja (fisik, psikologis, kognitif, dan perilaku), sedangkan variabel independen adalah faktor karakteristik individu (usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, masa kerja, dan tipe kepribadian), faktor psikososial konteks pekerjaan (budaya dan fungsi organisasi, peran di organisasi, perkembangan karir, pengambilan keputusan dan kontrol, hubungan rumah-kantor) dan konten pekerjaan (lingkungan kerja, desain tugas, beban kerja/ritme kerja, dan jadwal kerja). Desain penelitian cross sectional, pengambilan data kuesioner via daring dan melibatkan seluruh karyawan sebanyak 51 orang. Analisis univariat menggunakan perangkat lunak. Persepsi faktor psikososial mengacu pada skor rata-rata, skor 1,00-3,00 tergolong buruk dan 3,01-5,00 tergolong baik. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan faktor psikososial konteks pekerjaan yang dipersepsikan buruk yaitu faktor pengambilan keputusan/kontrol (2,92) dan hubungan rumah-kantor (2,34), sedangkan faktor psikososial konten pekerjaan yang dipersepsikan buruk yaitu faktor lingkungan kerja (2,21), beban kerja/ritme kerja (2,63), dan jadwal kerja (2,03). Kategori stres mengacu pada skor rata-rata, skor 1,00-2,33 tergolong ringan, 2,34-3,67 tergolong sedang, dan 3,68-5,00 tergolong tinggi. Gejala stres kerja fisik, psikologis, kognitif, dan perilaku termasuk dalam kategori ringan dengan skor 2,14; 2,22; 2,33; 2,0 secara berurutan dan gejala yang tergolong sedang-tinggi dialami oleh 33,3%, 47,1%, 45,1%, dan 36,3% secara berurutan. Secara keseluruhan, faktor psikososial di kantor proyek pembangunan X tergolong buruk dengan keluhan gejala stres kerja ringan.

This thesis descript the psychosocial factors and symptoms of occupational stress among construction project staff X. The study aims to describe the perception of workers on psychosocial factors (context to work and content of work) and to find out the symptoms of occupational stress among the staff. The dependent variables are the symptoms of occupational stress (physical, psychological, cognitive, and behavioral), while the independent variables are individual characteristics (age, gender, education, tenure, and personality type), context to work (organizational culture and function, role in organisation, career development, decision latitude control, home-work interface) and content of work (work environment, task design, workload/work pace, and work schedule). The research design is cross sectional, using online questionnaire and involving all 51 employees as sample of the study. Univariate analysis is using computer software. Perception of psychososical factors refers to the average score, 1.00-3.00 is classified poor and 3.01-5.00 is good. The results showed that psychosocial factors in context to work were perceived as poor, namely decision latitude and control (2.92) and home-work interface (2.34), while psychosocial factors in content of work perceived as poor, namely work environment (2.21), workload and work pace (2.63), and work schedule (2.03). Level of occupational stress refers to the average score, 1.00-2.33 is classified as mild, 2.34-3.67 is moderate, and 3.68-5.00 is high. Level of occupational stress symptoms that manifested on physical, psychological, cognitive, and behavioral are classified as mild with average score 2,14; 2.22; 2.33; and 2.0 respectively, and occupational stress that were classified as moderate-high were experienced by 33.3%, 47.1%, 45.1%, and 36.3% respectively. Overall, the psychosocial factors in the construction project X office is classified as poor with complaints of mild occupational stress symptoms.

"Pandemi COVID-19 telah ditetapkan sebagai kedaruratan kesehatan masyarakat yang meresahkan dunia sejak Januari 2020. Kondisi pandemi menghadapkan tenaga kesehatan khususnya perawat pada masalah krisis professional keperawatan. Perawat yang memberikan asuhan keperawatan selama pandemi COVID-19 beresiko untuk mengalami stress kerja yang berdampak pada perilaku caring dan kualitas hidup profesionalnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan stress kerja dengan perilaku caring dan kualitas hidup professional perawat komunitas pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain correlational pada 120 perawat komunitas di Jakarta Pusat. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik non-probality purposive sampling sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi penelitian. Hasil analisa dengan uji korelasi ditemukan terdapat hubungan antara stress kerja dengan perilaku caring, hubungan tersebut memiliki arah korelasi negatif (p value = 0,041, r = -0,187). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stress kerja dengan kualitas hidup professional (KHP), dengan kekuatan korelasi sedang dan arah korelasi positif (p value = 0,0001, r = 0,405). Hasil analisis regresi linear ganda menunjukkan tidak ada faktor dari stress kerja yang secara signifikan dapat mempredisksi perilaku caring (p value = 0,264, R² = 0,065), dan subvariabel stress kerja dapat memprediksi kualitas hidup professional, akan tetapi tidak ada subvariabel yang dinilai paling berhubungan dengan kualitas hidup professional (p value = 0,0001, R² = 0,260). Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi untuk melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi tingkat stress kerja yang dialami perawat secara berkala serta mengembangkan intervensi untuk mengurangi stress kerja perawat melalui upaya primer, sekunder dan tersier.

The outbreak of COVID-19 is a public health emergency of international concern since January 2020. Pandemic COVID-19 has made healthcare staff especially nurses to face adequate nursing professionals critical issues. Nurses who provide nursing care during the COVID-19 pandemic are at risk of experiencing occupational stress on their caring behaviour and professional quality of life. This study aimed to identify the correlational of occupational stress between caring behaviour and professional quality of life of community nurses during pandemic COVID-19. This study was conducted with correlational design of 120 community health nurses in Central Jakarta area. The research sample was obtained using a non-probability purposive sampling technique in accordance with the research inclusion criteria. The results of the analysis with the correlational study found that there was a correlation between occupational stress with caring behavior, the stressors was negatively related to caring behavior (p value = 0,041, r = -0,187). There was a statistically significant positive correlation between occupational stress and professional quality of life, (p value = 0,0001, r = 0,405). The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that there is no occupational stress related factor that can significantly predict caring behavior on nurses (p value = 0,264, R² = 0,065). On the other hand there were some occupational stress sub variables which can predict professional quality of life, but none of the sub variables rated most related to professional quality of life (p value = 0,0001, R² = 0,260). Study findings can be a reference for monitoring dan evaluating program for nurses and device intervention that reduce stressors through primary, secondary and tertiary prevention."

"Latar Belakang: Setiap individu memiliki chronotype tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi chronotype dan stresor pekerjaan serta mengidentifikasi hubungannya dengan tingkat kecemasan, depresi, dan stres (distres) pada pekerja shift di perusahaan minyak dan gas di Indonesia.
Metode: Penelitian cross-sectional dilakukan di perusahaan minyak dan gas di Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada tahun 2024 menggunakan kuesioner daring. Chronotype diukur menggunakan Morningness Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ), stresor pekerjaan diidentifikasi menggunakan Stress Diagnostic Survey (SDS), dan tingkat distres diperoleh dari Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 (DASS 21).
Hasil: Sebanyak 122 karyawan berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Semuanya berjenis kelamin laki-laki dengan median usia 45 (21-55) tahun. Sekitar 20,5% responden mengalami kecemasan, depresi, dan stres. Lebih dari separuh (57,4%) responden bertipe pagi. Stresor kerja mereka berada pada tingkat sedang (44,3-54,9%). Kami tidak menemukan hubungan antara kronotipe dan stresor kerja dengan tingkat distres. Namun demikian, kami menemukan hubungan antara lamanya masa kerja (aOR= 5,2; 95% CI: 1,4 – 20,1; p <0,05), pekerjaan berpindah-pindah (aOR= 0,3; 95% CI: 0,1 – 0,9; p <0,05), dan usia (p <0,05) dengan tingkat distres.
Kesimpulan: Chronotype dan stresor kerja dalam penelitian ini tidak memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat distres. Faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan kejadian kecemasan, depresi dan stres dalam penelitian ini adalah usia, lamanya masa kerja dan jenis pekerjaan (p <0,005).

Background: Each individual has a certain chronotype. This study aims to determine the prevalence of chronotype and job stressors and identify its associations with anxiety, depression, and stress (distress) level among shift workers in an oil and gas company in Indonesia.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in an oil and gas company in Indonesia. Data was collected in 2024 using online questionnaires. Chronotype was measured using Morningness Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ), job stressors were identified using Stress Diagnostic Survey (SDS), and distress level were obtained from the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 (DASS 21)
Results: A total of 122 employees was participated in this study. All were male with the median age of 45 (21-55) years old. About 20.5% of respondents had anxiety, depression, and stress. More than half (57.4%) of respondents were morning type. Their work stressors were at moderate level (44.3-54.9%). We did not find association between chronotype and work stressor with distress level. Nevertheless, we found association between length of service (aOR= 5.2; 95% CI: 1.4 – 20.1; p <0.05), mobile jobs (aOR= 0.3; 95% CI: 0.1 – 0.9; p <0.05), and age (p <0.05) with distress level.
Conclusion: The chronotype and work stressors in this study did not have a relationship to the level of distress. Other factors related to the incidence of anxiety, depression and stress in this study were age, length of service and type of work (p <0.005).

"Latar belakang: Pekerja perusahaan minyak dan gas berisiko mengalami stres akibat kerja. Sebanyak 15% pekerja minyak dan gas di Timur Tengah mengalami ansietas dan 18% pekerja mengalami depresi akibat pekerjaan. Triptofan merupakan asam amino esensial sebagai prekursor serotonin dan melatonin yang memiliki efek anti depresan berperan dalam manajemen stres psikososial individu.
Tujuan: Menguji hubungan antara kadar asupan triptofan harian dan faktor risiko stres di tempat kerja dengan skor stres kerja berdasarkan short version new brief job stress questionnaire (SV-NBJSQ) versi Bahasa Indonesia.
Metode: Penelitian potong lintang pada 14 orang pekerja offshore dan 20 orang pekerja onshore. Stres kerja, tuntutan pekerjaan dan sumber daya pekerjaan dinilai menggunakan SV-NBJSQ yang menghasilkan skor 1–4, nilai mendekati 4 menunjukkan status yang lebih baik. Data sosio-demografi dan asupan nutrisi pekerja diperoleh dari wawancara dan kuesioner. Pekerja diminta untuk mengingat kembali konsumsi pangan dalam 24 jam terakhir, pada hari berikutnya dilakukan penimbangan makanan yang dikonsumsi. Data asupan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi NutriSurvey berdaarkan tabel komposisi pangan triptofan dari The USDA National Nutrient Database.
Hasil: Diperoleh nilai median (min-maks) 3.5(3-4) untuk variabel kemarahan/ iritabilitas, 3.3(2-4) untuk kelelahan, 3.3(3-4) untuk kecemasan, 3.8(3-4) untuk depresi dan 3.5(1.2-4) untuk stres reaksi fisik. Median (min-maks) kadar asupan triptofan adalah 4.8(1.4-9.9) mg/kg. Hubungan kadar asupan triptofan dan skor stres kerja untuk tiap dimensi tidak ditemukan korelasi yang signifikan (kemarahan/irritabilitas p=0.286; kelelahan p=0.491; kecemasan p=0.891; depresi p=0.647; stress physical reactions p=0.769). Ditemukan hubungan bermakna antara faktor pekerjaan dengan skor stres kerja, yaitu pada kelebihan beban kerja kuantitatif dan kelelahan (r=0.35, p=0.04), kelebihan beban kerja kuantitatif dan depresi (r=0.4, p=0.02), konflik interpersonal dan kecemasan (r=0.47, p=0.005), konflik peran dan kecemasan (r=0.47, p=0.005), serta masa kerja dan stres reaksi fisik (r=-0.42, p=0.015).
Kesimpulan: Tidak ditemukan hubungan kadar asupan triptofan dengan skor stres kerja pada pekerja perusahaan minyak dan gas. Faktor pekerjaan yang berhubungan dengan stres kerja adalah kelebihan beban kerja kuantitatif, konflik interpersonal, konflik peran dan masa kerja.

Background: Oil and gas industry workers have risk of psychological stress due to job related stressors. Fifteen percent oil and gas workers in the Middle East have anxiety and 18% of workers got depression due to work. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid as precursor of serotonin and melatonin which has an antidepressant effect and plays a role in individual stress perception and psychosocial stress management.
Objective: Assessing the correlation of daily tryptophan intake and occupational factors with job stress scores based on the Indonesian short version new brief job stress questionnaire (SV-NBJSQ).
Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 14 offshore workers and 20 onshore workers. Interviews and questionnaire were conducted to obtain socio-demographic data, dietary intake, occupational factors and job stress. Job stress, job demands and job resources were assessed using the SV-NBJSQ which resulted in a score of 1 – 4, the value close to 4 indicates better status. Dietary intake was collected using a single 24-hour dietary recall and 1d-weighted food record, then the data were analyzed using NutriSurvey application by based on tryptophan food composition table from The USDA National Nutrient Database.
Results: Job stress median (min-max) scores were 3.5(3-4) for anger/irritability, 3.3(2-4) for fatigue, 3.3(3-4) for stress physical reactions. The median (min-max) daily tryptophan intake was 4.8(1.4-9.9) mg/kg. There was no significant correlation between tryptophan intake levels and each of the job stress scores (anger/ irritability p=0.286; fatigue p=0.491; anxiety p=0.891; depression p=0.647; stress physical reactions p=0.769). There was significant correlation between occupational factors and job stress scores, specifically between quantitative overload and fatigue (r=0.35, p=0.04), quantitative overload and depression (r=0.4, p=0.02), interpersonal conflict and anxiety (r=0.47, p=0.005), role conflict and anxiety (r=0.47, p=0.005), as well as between tenure and physical reaction stress (r=-0.42, p=0.015).
Conclusion: No correlation between tryptophan intake levels and job stress scores for oil and gas workers was found in this study. Occupational factors related to job stress are quantitative overload, interpersonal conflict, role conflict and tenure.
