Abstrak :
Dark personality traits, such as the Dark Triad of narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism, are often connected with destructive behaviors and interpersonal problems. Even traits that may appear to be superficially positive, such as perfectionism and fearless dominance, can have dark characteristics associated with negative consequences.

......Nowadays the prevalence of people with mental disorders is estimated to continue to increase in the population of individuals with mental illnesses. Individuals with borderline personality disorder have an unstable self-image which impacted interpersonal relationship. This makes patients with the disorders have comorbidities with other mental disorders such and is associated with an increased risk of suicide, permanent dysfunction, to intensive treatment that burdens society. Up to now, in Indonesia, there has been no research that discusses the picture of self-image in patients with borderline personality disorder. Therefore, researchers will look for a description of childhood experiences and self-image in patients with borderline personality disorder. This research is a qualitative study. The subjects involved were patients with borderline personality disorder who were in an outpatient clinic at RSCM. Subjects were selected by purposive sampling. From the results of in-depth interviews on 4 subjects, it was found that their self-image departed from a bad self-image. All subjects said that their current self-image was related to unpleasant childhood experiences, and could explain the relationship with each subject's point of view. Some of the subjects said that other factors contributed to the construction of the self-image they felt, namely therapy and other people's views of the subject. These adverse childhood experiences were the triggers and correlated with the current state of the disorder and the personal shortcomings they felt. Most of the subjects said that the experience had both positive and negative impacts on those who made changes to their self-image.

Abstrak :
Summary: In the upcoming fifth edition of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), the major innovation for the personality disorders will likely be a shift from the classic syndrome-based approach to a dimensional description approach. This book explains how personality disorders can be understood from the perspective of the Five-Factor Model (FFM), the most heavily researched and empirically supported dimensional model of general personality structure. Since the second edition of this authoritative text was published in 2002, the research base supporting the FFM has more than quadrupled. As a result, the vast majority of this volume is new. The chapters summarize the conceptual and empirical support for the FFM, including the dimensional description of specific personality disorders and the application of the model for assessment and treatment. Case studies are also provided
