"Traditional EOQ models are assumed that it is upstream full trade credit and down steam partial trade credit. In most business transactions, this assumption is debatable. In this note, this paper establishes a new EOQ model under two levels of trade credit, in which the supplier offers to the retailer a partial trade credit period for payments even if the order quantity is less than W, and simultaneously the retailer in turn provides a full trade credit period to its customers. Furthermore, we assume that the trade credit period (N) offered by the retailer to the customers is less than or equal to the trade credit period (M) offered by the supplier. And the retailer starts earning revenue from time N to time (T + A/), not from time 0 to time T. Six theorems are developed to determine retailer's optimal ordering policies and numerical examples are given to illustrate these theorems."

"[Identifying and customizing suitable control strategies is a challenging task, especially when production systems have to cope with variable demands, forecast error, and unstable processes. The focus of this book lies on helping companies with complex and discrete production systems to tailor a production control strategy to their needs. Thereby, the mutual merits of push and pull systems are taken into account, leading to hybrid strategies. Consequently, the book addresses practitioners who are interested in looking behind the scenes and into the physics of production control. A real-life case study demonstrates the practical applicability of the presented framework. , Identifying and customizing suitable control strategies is a challenging task, especially when production systems have to cope with variable demands, forecast error, and unstable processes. "Outsourcing in manufacturing : the knowledge dimension explains in detail how a manager can acquire, create, transfer and use knowledge that optimizes their outsourcing decisions and improves the changes of marketplace success. This book gives examples of the key decisions that needs to be taken by managers regarding effective outsourcing. Decisions are divided around the structural and infrastructural aspects of outsourcing and the key knowledge that needs to be managed to support good decisions. The book contains illustrations and examples of key processes throughout and concludes with a section dedicated to case studies. These case studies represent a variety of manufacturing system types and sizes focused on supply chain integration, and which deploy various manufacturing paradigms including craft, mass, lean, adaptive, and sustainable manufacturing. This book covers many theoretical and practical examples of critical outsourcing decisions, their knowledge aspects and how knowledge challenges can be dealt with in a systematic way. It provides a key resource for students, lecturers and industry managers looking to solidify their understanding and application of outsourcing decision making strategies."
