"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pengaruh partai dalam pemerintahan, dalam hal ini adalah Partai Republik dalam menentukan kebijakan publik di Amerika Serikat. Studi kasus yang diambil adalah mengenai pembentukan kebijakan Voter ID dalam negara bagian Pennsylvania, Amerika Serikat. Penulisan ini memakai metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan desain deskriptif. Melalui penulisan ini diketemukan hubungan antara keterlibatan partai politik dalam proses pembentukan kebijakan. Lebih jauh lagi diketemukan bahwa kebijakan Voter ID yang ada di Pennsylvania memberikan pengaruh dalam perolehan suara Partai Demokrat. Melalui isu Voter ID Partai Demokrat kurang mendapatkan hasil yang diharapkan pada pemilu presiden tahun 2012.

The focus of this study is to analyze the influence of political parties in the governance, in this case is the influence of GOP to determine public policy in United States of America. The case study that the writer takes is the making process of Voter ID policy in Pennsylvania, United States of America. This writing use qualitative method with descriptive design. Furthermore this it was found that the policy of Voter ID in Pennsylvania provide influence in the Democrat vote revenue. Because of Voter ID issue, Democratic Party not getting the result that they hope for in the 2012 presidential election."
